Joyería María Isabel Joyería María Isabel is a familiar company founded by Lucía Franco and her daughter, Isabel Cartagena, in 1969. Since then, three generations have offered a sell and repair service in jewellery and watch making in an establishment sited in 20, Joaquin Costa Street. All their career has been characterized by their well-doing in the world of jewellery, where they have positioned themselves in the last years thanks to the design of their own collections and their eagerness to keep on improving through R&D, what gives these jewels a personal hallmark, especially in those dedicated to the most endogenous products of Campo de Borja region: wine and olive oil. 1992 was a very important year in their career as the remodelling of their establishment in Borja took place. It consisted of an extension that allowed them to began their personal dream: their art gallery. In that year, they also started the creation and the own design of jewels with the collection Gold Images of Campo de Borja Region. In 1994 they opened a new establishment in 11, Pilar Street, in Mallén. Nowadays, it can be said that they have more than four decades of experience and customer care in the jewellery sector. Joyería Maria Isabel has a private studio to repair jewels and watches and also an engraving studio. The jeweller joins the home-made techniques and the technology at the vanguard when he makes their exclusive collections. In their jeweller s studio they can deal with both the personalized design of jewels and the transformation, cleaning and polish of any piece of jewellery and craftsman in precious metals. Good practices Joyería María Isabel has always opted for innovation and business undertaking in its sector, knowing how to be different from the competence in different directions, among which we can find the exploitation of Campo de Borja resources to materialized them in the best thing they do: jewels. Apart from this, their curiosity and eagerness to improve has brought them to adopt social responsibility actions within the area, committing themselves to the culture by means of their art gallery or by getting advantage of their town-twinning with Jurançon, a French town, to get the internationalization of the products made in Campo de Borja. Jewellery collections related to Campo de Borja The main distinguishing feature of Campo de Borja is its deep wine tradition. Since the Cistercian monks in Veruela Monastery set up in their territories in the XII century and started to use the conditions of the ground and the surrounding area to cultivate the garnacha grape that later gave them wine; the presence of the wine tradition in these fields has become a constant theme, now endorsed by the award D.O Campo de Borja. Joyería Maria Isabel, very knowledgeable about the potential of the world of wine and all its aspects (related to enology, wine tourism and commerce), created some years ago one of its most outstanding collections: Edenia Las Joyas del Vino (Edenia The Jewels of Wine ); an exclusive selection of pure silver jewels (pendants, rings, earrings, bracelets, ), that individually or combined with amethyst, reproduce the beauty details of the garnacha grape plant, its leaves, its clusters, its tendrils, Recently they have also presented the collection Olea, a pure silver tribute to the olive tree and its fruit whose growing is also very extended in the region. We must give a special mention to its collections dedicated to other cultural and religious aspects that are related to the area such as Día de la Cruz (Cross Day) in Magallón and Ainzón (14th September), where they venerate Santo Cristo de la Cruz (Christ of the Cross) and Santo Cristo de la Capilla (Christ of the Chapel), respectively, Día de las Reliquias de Ambel (Ambel s Relics Day) (29th August) or the festivities of Santa Ana (St. Anne) and Santiago (St.James) in Pozuelo de Aragón (24th and 25th July). pag. 28 IART Territories

This company also offers special sales promotions in important days such as the European day of Wine Tourism. The company promotes all of them through its blog and its social networks, tools that help them to position themselves as a business and to spread the traditions, history and places of Campo de Borja. Quality and crafts guarantee Joyería Maria Isabel is a quality establishment that bases in its craftsmanship in precious materials its modus operandi. That is why it offers the main guarantees in all the works made in its studio, both in those bought in the shop with the brand guarantee- and in the repairing and works made in the studio. In addition, all the products made in their studio fulfil the specifications stated in the Precious Metals Law. scene. All styles and artistic displays are hold in this gallery. They also have a permanent art collection on show, opened to the public in the commercial timetable. They also belong to the Spanish wine tourism route La Ruta de la Garnacha (Garnacha Route) what contributes to the national spread of this project. Social responsibility in the region and commercial spread Joyería Maria Isabel is one of the establishments in Campo de Borja that has known how to make good use of their town-twining with the French town of Jurançon to export their home-made products made in Campo de Borja. Thanks to this towntwining, their creations of the Edenia Collection are sold in Le Bouquet Béarnais that belongs to Nathalie Cambot. Energetic consumption Campo de Borja cultural spread The social responsibility gained with Campo de Borja Region and its cultural spread manifests itself in the art gallery opened in their establishment in Borja. Periodically, they show collections by different artists, mainly related to their cultural Their compromise with the environment and the energetic saving combined with their innovative mentality has driven Joyería Maria Isabel to renew the electrical installation of the glass cases, so important in commercial establishments of this kind. Now they are a company more committed to the energetic saving without losing pag. 30 IART Territories

the quality of a good lighting that enhances their jewels. Spread of Campo de Borja attractiveness Joyería Maria Isabel Jeweller has known how to adapt itself completely to the online world. They were familiar with its great advantages so since long time ago they have a good website, well index-linked and equipped with permanently updated contents. In this site there is also an online shop and a corporate blog, two basic tools to announce these creations made in Campo de Borja and to make them more accessible for everybody. They are also spread through their social networks, such as Facebook, that helps the spread of the history, culture, traditions and idiosyncrasy of Campo de Borja.
