The jasmine is the strongest floral note and it becomes one distinct jasmine, but, it too, was only one of the

tuxedoed men's club's wives that drove the guy to the club and left. The real downside is the fact that you can't find it anywhere!. Musk and leather, cedar wood, vetiver, moss and something like tobacco are thrown into the base. These base notes support the rest of the fragrance which would have smelled more feminine with classic citrus plus jasmine. I don't smell any floral here so the jasmine is the weakest concentration of jasmine. There is lavender and quite a lot of it but this floral note is common in most men's fragrances and it turns spicy rather than sweet. This is a very spiced up warm lavender which blends well with the patchouli and the amber. Another word that might describe this scent is warm, hot, sultry, and dark. It's like liquid perfumed sweat from the hot summer sun on tan brown or black skin. As one other reviewer pointed out it also smells like a cologne of the British Empire, but I would elaborate by saying that to me it smells like the British Empire in South Africa, the British colonial system in the African continent. This smells very confident and bold because it does project and lasts a long time. Nothing like this in today's men's fragrance market today. The opening is a fresh and old school aldehyde alcohol with citruses. Bergamot orange and a squeeze of lemon, neroli, notes I like, but they're just the appetizers. The freshness is gone before too long and then I detect all the ingredients which make this fragrance so green, herbal, spicy, and classic. The heart is redolent with Artemisia and green plants, green grass, spicy herbs, tarragon, and patchouli. At the heart it is a big patchouli. If you don't care for patchouli, don't bother. This is for the patchouli fans. The scent keeps with the green theme in Ralph Lauren Polo, the original in the green bottle. If you have worn Ralph Lauren Polo this should be easy to wear as both scents are in the same family. You might also like this if you have worn and enjoyed Tsar by Van Cleef & Arpels. Like Tsar, this is a green "outdoor" fragrance. The moment I first smelled this fragrance I knew it was the one.
