1. OBJECTIVE We at Hexaware believe in our employees as the company s brand ambassadors. The dress code policy has been designed to project a professional image to our customers, potential employees and Hexaware family, and at the same time to allow employees to work comfortably at workplace. So let s dress smart, dress comfortable. With great power comes great responsibility & therefore the onus is on each Hexawarian to judge the appropriate attire to project a smart dressing and a professional attitude. The guidelines have been formulated taking into consideration the varying cultures, ages, health and the likes of the global community in which Hexaware operates. 2. SCOPE The policy is applicable for employees based in India: All regular employees ; Trainees ; Retainers & Contractors ; Academic Interns. 3. POLICY COMMENCEMENT & VALIDITY The policy shall come in to force from 04-Jan-16 and shall remain in force till modified or revoked by organization. 4. DRESS CODE On all days, employees are expected to wear clean, smart & ironed clothes paired with appropriate footwear. On all days of the week (Monday to Friday), employees have the option to wear any one of the followings: o Casuals o Western & Indian Business Formals Employees using gym facilities are expected to adhere to the dress code policy in the office premises outside the gym zone. However, during client visits, accounts/teams where client is visiting, employees are required to wear business formals i.e. business suit or jacket, as may be the case. 5. CASUALS Employees are advised to choose their Casuals, best suited for a professional environment.
For Men: Collared/Round Neck T-shirts/Kurtas Jeans/Denim trousers/chinos/corduroy Trousers Semi-Formal Shoes/Sports Shoes/Sneakers For Women: Collared/Round Neck T-Shirts/Shirts/Tops Jeans/Denim Trousers/Corduroy Trousers/Skirts (Knee-length or longer) Long skirts with Top/Kurta Semi-Formal Shoes/Sandals/Sports Shoes/Sneakers. 6. BUSINESS FORMALS For Men: Crisp ironed full sleeves/half sleeves shirt Formal Trousers Fully Closed Formal Shoes and Socks (Colour matching the trouser colour) and Belt (Colour matching the shoes colour). For Women: Indian Wear: Salwar Kameez Saree Kurta with Leggings Western Wear: Formal Trousers/knee Length or below Skirts/Knee Length or longer Dresses Full Sleeves/Half Sleeves/ Sleeveless Shirts/Tops Formal Shoes 7. UNACCEPTABLE / INAPPROPRIATE ATTIRE FOR ALL DAYS (including Fridays) The following are not permissible as per the Dress Code: Torn / Ripped / Low Waist/ Over Faded / Worker / Carpenter Jeans / Cargos/Harem Pants. Shorts/Bermudas.
Avoid wearing deep neck T shirts. Body hugging/bold prints/flashy material. Strapless Tops, Off-the-shoulder Tops, Tank Tops, Tube Tops, Halter Tops, Backless Tops and Tops with Spaghetti Straps (for Women). Skirts above Knee-length / Short Skirts / Mini Skirts (for Women) Short Tops with Leggings Backless/Halter/Spaghetti Blouse with Saree T-shirts with offensive printed messages / logos T-Shirts with other company logos (only client/customer logos permissible) Leather / Sports / Gym Trousers and Track Suits Hiking Boots Floaters / Slip ons / Bathroom Slippers Chappals Further, any outfit that is found to be inappropriate and unsuitable for a professional work environment would not be acceptable. 8. PERSONAL GROOMING Simple, clean, and well-cut hair gives a professional look. Hair should be neatly pinned up and tied. It is advisable to avoid hair oil / hair gel with strong odour, and excessively coloured hair. Neatly trimmed beards, moustaches and sideburns of a conservative nature are acceptable. Nails should be clean and trimmed. Makeup should be subtle. Avoid using shocking / contrasting lipstick colours. Shirt collars & cuffs should be clean, and there should be no missing buttons. Use appropriate perfumes and deodorants to prevent body odour. Accessories / Jewellery should be discreet in size & design. 9. GENERAL GUIDELINES All employees, based in India, are required to adhere to the Dress Code Policy during the working hours.
The Dress Code Policy applies to all employees visiting any Hexaware office in India, even if they are visiting from any overseas location. If any employee has to work beyond the working hours or working on a weekend/optional holiday, he/she should adhere to the Dress Code Policy. Employees working in night shifts must adhere to the Dress Code Policy. Any employee who is on leave & visiting the campus must adhere to the dress code policy, irrespective of the duration of the visit. Employees working out of client locations are expected to adhere to client dress code norms. 10. DRESS CODE POLICY COMPLIANCE All employees must adhere to the Dress Code while in the work premises. The managers should ensure that all employees reporting to them comply with dress code guidelines. Managers / HR Department are vested with the right to reprimand any employee whose attire is deemed inappropriate / unacceptable, as per this policy. We strongly urge all Hexawarians to adhere to the dress code guidelines and refrain from dressing in the attire that does not fall under the premise of dress code policy. Please note that any violation to the policy will result in appropriate disciplinary action. 11. EXCEPTION Any exception to the policy requires approval from the respective vertical/horizontal/support head & Location HR Head. Management reserves the right to make any amendments to the policy at any time, with appropriate communication.
