MEET THE TRAINERS SOMA is co-directed by two leading industry professionals Denisha Haridas and Deanne Roodt. With a combined 17 years experience in the makeup and fashion industry working with the world s leading professional makeup authority- MAC Cosmetics. Their years of experience as Trainers for MAC have allowed them to perfect their creative skill as makeup artists, sharing their knowledge of makeup artistry throughout South Africa, extending into Kenya, Nigeria and Botswana. Both Deanne and Denisha have received extensive training from International MAC Senior Artists and Directors of Makeup Artistry in Lisbon, Orlando Florida and Toronto, Canada. They will give you the insight to manage your business as a makeup artist, having overseen the running of 16 MAC Stores Countrywide. Their brushbelts boast of body painting for the Liqui Fruit Ad, makeup for the likes of Alek Wek, Makeup Bootcamps hosted for artists from 6 African countries as well as the launch of Nigeria Ebony Life TV. WITH A COMBINED 17 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN THE MAKEUP AND FASHION INDUSTRY WORKING WITH THE WORLD S LEADING PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP AUTHORITY- MAC COSMETICS. As Trainers they were responsible for the development of over 250 of South Africa s best makeup artists! Together they are no strangers to the backstage environment, having worked on countless shows at Africa, Johannesburg and Cape town Fashion Weeks where they conceptualized makeup looks for renowned names in the fashion industry whilst leading and coaching Events team artists backstage. THE CERTIFICATE. LAUNCH INTO A PROFESSIONAL CAREER IN MAKEUP OR SIMPLY ENHANCE YOUR PERSONAL SKILL SET BY SELECTING ONE OF OUR SPECIALIZED MAKEUP COURSES. TUITION FEE R27 500 6 Months Full Time Monday Friday 9:00-14:00pm 1 Year Part Time (Tuesday & Thursdays 5pm-9pm) A six month training course delivered by two industry professionals. The Makeup Design and Artistry course is a highly practical course in makeup application, well suited to those looking to start a career in makeup artistry. Upon completion of this course learners will receive a certificate of completion and will leave with a full portfolio of work, a must when applying for work within the industry. Students will be required to complete 100 practical hours of work. EACH STUDENT WILL RECEIVE A COMPLIMENTARY MAC COSMETICS START UP KIT TO THE VALUE OF R7800. 10

TUITION FEE R7 500 Course Duration: 5 x 4 hour Sessions PHASE 1: Beginners Makeup Short Course This short course is focused on basic makeup application for the beginner. Explore the fundamentals of makeup application, including skin-perfecting techniques and creating basic beauty looks. PHASE 2: Advanced Fashion, Editorial & Bridal Makeup Further develop the skills required to take your artistic ability to the professional level! We introduce you to Bridal Makeup and teach you the art of creating flawless Fashion and Editorial makeup looks. 12
