The Combined Introductory Facial Aesthetic Training Pack Wigmore Medical Training would like to offer you the opportunity of receiving training on a group of subjects which are vital to any facial aesthetic professional seeking to enhance their practice and increase revenue. Any of these days may be booked individually if you already have experience in a particular topic. Day 1: An introduction to AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) Chemical Peels and HA (Hyaluronic Acid) Dermal Fillers. Theory will take up the beginning of each session which is then followed by hands-on training under supervised conditions. There will be a question paper on all the theory that would have been discussed which will take place after the practical work near the end of the day. Day 2: An introduction to Facial Aesthetics and treatments with Botulinum Toxin Type A. The first half of the day is devoted to facial rejuvenation finishing with hands-on injection practical under the supervision of our highly experienced practitioner. The second section of the day will focus on roundtable discussions and further practicals. This will lead on to a brief introduction into methods of implementing such aesthetic treatments into your clinic and the most beneficial ways to introduce treatments to your existing clients. There will be a question paper after the first practical session. Day 3: This is a further opportunity to enhance your skills with dermal fillers for facial contouring. Theory of fillers will be followed by practical demonstration through a trained representative from Galderma, the manufacturer of the popular fillers Restylane, Restylane Lipp, Restylane Vital and Perlane. You will also have a second question test on the subject of fillers and the use for facial aesthetics. The number of attendees is limited to FOUR, enabling a more intense level of training and interaction. All participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance, which is proof of their attendance and sufficient to acquire medical insurance. The certificate is recognised by all the major insurance groups and fellow associations. 13 CPD points if you attend all three. This pack is only available to medical practitioners with current GMC, GDC and NMC registration. However, if you only wish to attend the Skin Care course an NVQ with a minimum Level 3 is acceptable. MINI-THREAD (ULTRA V) LIFT TRAINING COURSE Mini Threads Embedding Therapy is based on the multiple implants of polydioxanone Threads. Polydioxanone is a polymer which is degraded naturally within the body. The Mini-Threads are implanted by inserting multiple needles carrying the threads inside. The implantation of Mini-Threads creates a subdermal network of support and stimulation of tissues, causing skin retention and thus a visible effect lifting, in addition to naturally stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. While the effects are visible shortly after treatment, they are most effective within approximately 2 months after application, extending beyond the time of reabsorption of the polydioxanone (estimated to be 6-8 months). The implementation is carried out using different size needles, depending on the specific characteristics of the thread chosen by the doctor (length, size, degree of tension required, etc.) The amount of product (mini-threads) used in each treatment varies depending on the medical criteria and needs of each patient. Several applications may be necessary. This therapy supports retouching and combination with other products, so the number of sessions and Mini-Threads to be implemented to reach the desired aesthetic result may vary depending on each patient. Once the treatment is completed, additional sessions may be necessary to maintain the improvement obtained, usually every 12 months. Side effects that may be associated most often are: redness at the insertion points, slight edema in the area, burning sensation and pain which disappear within a few days. Occasionally there may be some bruising. We are running half-day hands-on sessions and you should supply your own model. ADVANCED TOXINS & FILLERS TRAINING COURSE The Advanced Botulinum Toxin Type A for Facial Aesthetics and Fillers training course delivered by Dr Huw Jones MBChB. Dr Jones is an aesthetic physician with more than 15 years clinical experience and administration of many thousands of cosmetic Botulinum Toxin facial treatments. He has been involved in all aspects of cosmetic dermatology and for the last nine years has been a recognised trainer in Botulinum Toxin Type A for cosmetic treatments (including hyperhidrosis). Doctors have long tried to deal with the problem of hyperhidrosis, a condition which is revved-up and works at a very high level in up to 1.0% of the population. Until now, no plan of action has produced any completely satisfactory results. However, with Botulinum Toxin and repeated treatments every 4 to 8 months, your clients will be a lot happier with the results. Our aim is to give you the skills to assess your own patients. As there are so many variations on individual anatomy, we review which products to use and at what depth of dermis, before going through the most frequently requested anatomical areas, such as tear troughs advanced lip techniques (tracking, volume), injection rhinoplasty, cheeks, chin, mental crease and brow volume. We also have a discussion on areas where hyaluronic acid is not the product of choice, but do not delve in any mid cheek, peri-auricular or temple work, as those are covered in other courses. Class size is a strict maximum of three. Sculptra is a long-lasting treatment that can smooth deep lines, wrinkles and restore facial volume lost to the body s natural ageing process. Sculptra is an injectable volumising treatment that stimulates the build up of the body s own collagen. The treatment must be performed by specially trained medical professionals including, Doctors, Dentists and Registered General Nurses. You will be trained by one of Sculptra s recognised UK Trainers and will receive a certificate of self competency from Sculptra after the two days training. This enables you to be a registered practitioner with Sculptra and to purchase product. The two-day training course takes place over a six week period. You will attend your second training day six weeks after the initial training day. Your model will follow you through the six week programme, receiving treatment by you on every training day. Delegates are asked to provide their own model. Over the course of your training you will learn how to correct deep folds between the nose and the mouth (nasolabial folds), folds around the corners of the mouth (marionette lines), sunken cheeks, wrinkles and lines in the cheeks or chin and deep scars. The morning of your initial training course will involve a theory session and demonstration by the trainer. After the trainer s demonstration you will receive an hour of practical training with your model. The training is held in very small groups, a maximum of four delegates will be on the course, allowing you plenty of quality time with the trainer. The second day will consist solely of practical training and guidance. At the end of your first day s training you will receive a certificate which will allow you to get appropriate insurance cover and start practising until the second day of the course. At the end of your second training day you will receive a self-competency certificate while your name and contact details will be included on the Wigmore Medical website s Find a practitioner in your area facility for Sculptra at http://www.wigmoremedical.com/injectables/sculptra/ We now also offer a one-day refresher course if you have been previously trained (not necessarily by Wigmore Medical) but for whatever reason feel the need for a quick recap on the basics of this treatment. As with the two-day course we would urge you to supply your own model so that you can monitor their progress after the training day. Two-Day course (Fee is 1000 and you get 10 CPD points) Course 1: Day 1 5 th February & Day 2 20 th March Course 2: Day 1 9 th April & Day 2 22 nd May Course 3: Day 1 2 nd July & Day 2 11 th August Course 4: Day 1 3 rd September & Day 2 13 th October

MICROSCLEROTHERAPY TRAINING COURSE Spider veins and thread veins are terms used by the public for small, unsightly, superficial veins usually found in clusters on the legs. They are a frequent cosmetic cause for concern amongst women and the demand for treatment is rapidly increasing. The prevalence of thread veins and spider veins among adults is over 50%. Most women are concerned with the cosmetic appearance of their thread veins but they are frequently associated with symptoms of aching, burning, itching, throbbing and cramps. These symptoms are often worse at certain times of the menstrual cycle. In addition, the presence of thread veins may indicate an abnormality of the venous system which may require further investigation. Microsclerotherapy is a safe and effective treatment for thread veins and spider veins which has been practised in Europe for many years. With appropriate training, it can be practised by doctors, nurses and dentists from a wide range of specialities and backgrounds. This course will enable you to identify veins suitable for Microsclerotherapy; assess patients suitable for Microsclerotherapy; recognise contraindications to patients; gain informed consent; begin your practice with a sound technique. 09:30 Registration & Introductions 09:45 Anatomy & Physiology 10:15 Aetiology and Classification 10:30 Pharmacology 10:45 Break for tea/coffee 11:00 Indications 11:15 Contraindications 11:30 Risks & Complications 11:45 Consultation, Consent, Aftercare and Follow-up 12:15 Demonstrations - patient examination with Doppler 12:45 Break for Lunch 13:30 Consultation 13:45 Supervised Practice on Volunteer Models 16:00 Close The Microsclerotherapy manual will be sent to you in advance of the course to enable you to undertake preliminary independent study. INTRODUCTION TO MEDIK8 DERMAL ROLLER Skin Needling is a skin renewal technique to restore the healthy youthful appearance of your skin at a fraction of the cost and with minimal or zero downtime. Skin Needling produces similar results to Dermabrasion, Lasers and Deep Chemical Peels, but is much less invasive and does not require the removal of the epidermis. As a result the healing time is significantly shorter and there is no post-treatment skin sensitivity to UV light. Skin Needling is also one of the few skin therapies that are suitable for treating all skin types, including ethnic skin, and which can be used to treat the fragile skin around the eyes, mouth and on the neck. Medik8 Skin Needling procedures are performed in a very safe and precise manner with the use of single-use sterile Medik8 Titanium Dermaroller. The procedure is normally completed within 30-45 minutes. Each fee paying delegate will be given a starter pack containing two dermal rollers, serums and local anaesthetic cream. 14:00 Registration & Introductions 14:15 Illustrated presentation of Dermal Roller Skin Needling 14:45 Practical Demonstration of Dermal Roller Treatment Microneedling 15:30 Break for tea/coffee 15:45 Extensive hands-on involvement of delegates 18:00 Close (this may vary due to number of delegates) Scheduled Course Dates (Fee is 475 and inclusive of VAT) 23 rd February 13 th April 1 st June 20 th July 21 st September 16 th November CPD Points - 4

PLATELET-RICH PLASMA (PRP) TRAINING COURSE Dr Daniel Sister brings to you a course in the much talked about subject of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) using the Dracula Kit. For over thirty years, PRP has been used in many different medical fields including: cardiac surgery, oral surgery, dentistry and periodontal implants, orthopaedics, wounds care, sports medicine, neurosurgery, general surgery and cosmetics. How does it work? A small amount of blood is drawn from the patient into a sterile tube in the exact same manner as a standard blood sample. The tube containing a patient s blood is placed into a centrifuge and spun to separate the plasma and platelets from the other blood components. After a few minutes, the plasma and concentrated platelets are removed from the same tube and re-introduced into the patient at the site of injury, scars, skin, obvious lines or wrinkles. Using a small sterile needle, you inject the PRP in and around the desired site. The treatment lasts 30 to 45 minutes and can be applied to any skin type or colour. Is this safe treatment the nearest thing to a perfect dermal filler? Time will tell. Dr Sister has travelled the world to discuss with fellow professionals the remarkable array of treatments that have been made possible through this technique. During the course he will talk about his experience of PRP combined with mesotherapy or dermaroller, as a standalone treatment or post ablative laser; mixed (or not) with dermal filler, vitamins, amino acids and antioxidants; It can be used everywhere on the body, ranging from the treatment for hair loss to breast enhancement! 09:45 Registration & Introductions 10:00 Illustrated presentation on Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) 12:30 Break for lunch 13:00 Demonstration by trainer 13:45 Hands-on practical session for all delegates 15:00 Closing Comments Scheduled Course Dates (Fee is 300 for training only OR 2000 for Dracula System, 2 kits & training) 19 th January 16 th March; 20 th April; 15 th June 13 th July; 14 th September; 12 th October; 8 th November; 7 th December (CPD Points 5)

ZO TRAINING COURSES For over three decades, Dr Zein Obagi defined the concept of skin health and developed skincare treatments and programs that can create truly healthy skin. Now with the introduction of ZO Medical products, Dr Obagi s next generation of therapeutic skincare products and treatments are exclusively available through skin health professionals. The Basic course is essential for anyone interested in acquiring a good understanding of the entire ZO product range. Although there is no hands-on during this one-day course, it is nevertheless packed with information from start to finish. It is quite common for delegates to want a repeat session on a future date in order to ask more questions and get a better understanding. In such cases we offer a place free of charge. This ZO Medical Intermediate training course can only be completed by delegates that have already attended the introductory workshop. There will be a live demonstration for which delegates are expected to provide a properly prepped model, for a minimum of 4 weeks, but preferably 6 weeks, and models should arrive at the venue at 2:00pm. To qualify as an attendee, you must be a prescriber or have a prescriber that physically works within the clinic 3 days per week minimum. You must work from a medical clinic and not large numbers of multiple sites i.e. No practitioners who travel extensively and offer services within numerous hair and/or beauty salons.
