Product Name: Silicone-Be-Gone Revision Date: 02/21/2008 Product UPC Number: 070798133303 Supersedes: New Product Use/Class: Silicone Remover MSDS Number: 00017116001 Manufacturer: DAP Inc. 2400 Boston Street Suite 200 Baltimore, MD 21224-4723 888-327 -8477 (non-emergency matters) Section 2 - Hazards Identification Emergency Overview: A reddish-brown gel product with a slight odor. Combustible material. Skin and eye irritant. Aspiration hazard if swallowed. Corrosive. Aqueous solution causes burns of eyes, skin and mucous membranes. Store away from alkalis and oxidizing materials. Refer to other MSDS sections for other detailed information. Effects Of Overexposure - Eye Contact: Corrosive to the eyes! Direct contact with eyes will cause severe irritation and may lead to burns and permanent eye damage including blindness. Mists and vapors may cause moderate to severe eye irritation. Effects Of Overexposure - Skin Contact: May cause skin irritation. Repeated skin contact may cause defatting of the skin resulting in dermatitis. Effects Of Overexposure - Inhalation: Inhalation of high concentrations may cause headache, nausea, and dizziness. Inhalation may cause irritation to the respiratory tract (nose, mouth, mucous membranes). Prolonged, repeated or high exposures may cause central nervous system depression leading to headaches, nausea, drowsiness, dizziness, and possibly narcosis. In extreme cases, may cause loss of consciousness. Effects Of Overexposure - Ingestion: Ingestion causes irritation of upper respiratory system and gastrointestinal disturbance. Ingestion may cause gastrointestinal irritation, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Effects Of Overexposure - Chronic Hazards: Prolonged or repeated contact with skin can cause defatting of the skin, which may lead to dermatitis. May aggravate existing skin, eye or lung conditions.

Primary Route(s) Of Entry: Skin Contact, Inhalation, Ingestion, Eye Contact Page 2 of 6 Medical Conditions which May be Aggravated by Exposure: Skin disorders, Respiratory disorders, Eye disorders. Get medical attention immediately. First Aid - Skin Contact: Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water. Remove and wash contaminated clothing. First Aid - Inhalation: If breathing difficulty is experienced, move to area free of exposure. Provide fresh air. If necessary, provide oxygen or artificial respiration by trained personnel and obtain medical attention. First Aid - Ingestion: If swallowed, DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Get medical attention immediately. Note to Physician: None. COMMENTS: If over-exposure occurs, call your poison control center at 1-800 -222-1222. Section 5 - Fire Fighting Measures Extinguishing Media: Carbon Dioxide, Dry Chemical, Foam, Water Fog Unusual Fire And Explosion Hazards: Containers may explode if exposed to extreme heat. Remove all sources of ignition. Vapors are heavier than air and may spread along floors. Vapors can flow along surfaces to a distant ignition source and flash back. Special Firefighting Procedures: In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Cool fire-exposed containers using water spray. Use water spray to cool exposed surfaces. Section 6 - Accidental Release Measures Steps To Be Taken If Material Is Released Or Spilled: Wear proper protective equipment as specified in Section 8. Remove all sources of ignition. Contain and/or absorb spill with inert material (e.g. sand, vermiculite), then place in a suitable container. For large spills, use water spray to disperse vapors and flush spill area. Prevent runoff from entering

waterways or sewers. Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Soak up with inert absorbent material and dispose of as hazardous waste. Clean contaminated surface thoroughly. Section 7 - Handling And Storage Page 3 of 6 Handling: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN! DO NOT TAKE INTERNALLY. Do not breathe vapors or spray mist. Keep containers closed when not in use. Avoid inhalation of mists. Ensure fresh air entry during application and drying. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Keep product and empty container away from heat and sources of ignition. Keep away from sources of ignition. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, away from incompatible substances. Do not let product enter drains. Keep away from oxidizing agents, strongly alkaline and strongly acid materials in order to avoid exothermic reactions. Storage: Keep away from heat and sources of ignition. Store away from caustics and oxidizers. Keep containers dry and tightly closed to avoid moisture absorption and contamination. No Precautionary Measures: Contact lenses pose a special hazard; soft lenses may absorb and all lenses concentrate irritants. Engineering Controls: Ensure adequate ventilation, especially in confined areas. Use adequate general or local exhaust ventilation to keep airborne concentrations below exposure limits. Respiratory Protection: When concentrations exceed the exposure limits specified, use of a NIOSH approved full facepiece organic vapor/acid gas cartridge respirator is recommended. Where the protection factor of the respirator may be exceeded, use of a full facepiece supplied air respirator or a Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) may be necessary. Skin Protection: Wear appropriate protective eyeglasses or chemical safety goggles. Wear appropriate protective clothing to prevent skin contact. Wear nitrile gloves. Eye Protection: Wear appropriate protective eyeglasses or chemical safety goggles. Wear appropriate protective clothing to prevent skin contact. Use a NIOSH approved respirator when necessary. Other protective equipment: If repeated or prolonged contact with liquid is likely, wear protective clothing including boots, apron, and face shield or splash goggles. Safety shower and eyewash station should be located in immediate work area. Hygienic Practices: Contaminated clothing should be changed and washed before reuse. Eating, drinking and smoking in immediate work area should be prohibited. Important: Listed Permissible Exposure Levels (PEL) are from the U.S. Dept. of Labor OSHA Final Rule Limits (CFR 29 1910.1000); these limits may vary between states. Note: An employee's skin exposure to substances having a "YES" in the "SKIN" column in the table above shall be prevented or reduced to the extent necessary under the circumstances through the use of gloves, coveralls, goggles or other appropriate personal protective equipment, engineering controls or work practices.
