Boots are not acceptable footwear Plain black-formal style Black Plain black worn with blouse & tie Black Boots and pumps are not acceptable footwear in school *These items are only available at our uniform stockists. Blazers: these should be worn to and from school and at all times during the school day. In extremely hot weather the teacher may encourage students to take off their blazer. Jumpers/cardigans/hoodies are not part of the uniform and should not be worn in school. Outside coats We encourage the purchase of sensible coats. Denim or material of similar appearance must not be worn at Abbot Beyne. Bags Students should have a bag suitable for school ie. not a handbag. Back packs are recommended. Jewellery - Our first consideration is for the safety of our students and therefore jewellery is discouraged. One ear-stud in each ear (plain gold or silver) only. No other facial or body jewellery is allowed. No coloured or patterned belts. Make-up and Nail Varnish no make-up, nail varnish or false nails in school. Students wearing make-up and/or nail varnish will be asked to remove it. Hair No extreme hairstyles e.g. No shaved tracks or patterns No unnatural hair colours Black/white plain hair accessories only

Blazer There are two styles of Blazer, a traditional cut and a more fitted cut. House Ties clip-on All students must wear a tie this should be worn close to the collar with the top button done up. C O L O R P Y H E R U I X C M O I U B N S L A E S Shirts Formal School Shirt plain white with long or short sleeves and a plain collar suitable for a clip-on tie. All shirts must be long enough to be tucked into trousers/skirts. Fitted fashion shirts without a formal collar are not permitted.

Trousers Formal, tailored, plain black trousers. Tight fitting or low-slung trousers are not permitted. Skirts Plain black suitable length skirt. No tight fitting or short skirts. No tube skirts. Pleated skirts are permitted. Approved skirt available from Clothing4 Schools and Pupil School Wear. Similar skirts are also available from Asda, Sainsbury s and Morrisons. Shalwar Kameez For cultural reasons, plain black Shalwar Kameez may be worn. All students, even if wearing a Shalwar Kameez must wear a white school shirt and tie.

Footwear Plain black leather/leather like shoes, no colour trims or sports logos. Low heels with backs. NO TRAINERS, CANVAS SHOES, PUMPS OR BOOTS Socks white or black. Tights black.

Hair Hair should be neat and tidy, with no extreme hairstyles or unnatural colours. No patterns or tramlines shaved into hair. No unnatural hair colours.

Uniform with the school logo on can be purchased from Clothing 4 Schools, Anglesey Road, Burton on Trent and Pupil Schoolwear in Swadlincote. If students do not wear the appropriate uniform, and no satisfactory reason (supported by a parental note on the day) is given they will be expected to wear uniform supplied by school. The school has a spare stock of uniform. They will experience withdrawal of privileges and other sanctions may be applied. A medical note will be requested in the case of alternative footwear.
