Please find the following information regarding our uniform requirements and ordering options. Please read carefully to ensure you are ordering the correct items. Uniform Vendor NHA has partnered with a uniform vendor, Image Builders Marketing. Bright green polo shirts and custom green and blue ties must be purchased through Image Builders. You may purchase the other uniform pieces from a vendor of your choice; however, Image Builders also sells some of these items. Please see the attached brochure for product information. Ordering Options 1) Order online by visiting our school website. The online order store will be accessible under the tab Beyond the Classroom, then go to Dress Code/Uniforms. Credit card only. OR 2) Place your order over the phone with Image Builders Marketing Customer Service by calling 855-654-6243 M-F 8 a.m. 5 p.m. EST. Credit card or money order. Bulk Shipment to School We offer two bulk shipments to the school during the summer and early fall. All orders shipped with the bulk shipment will have free shipping. Your order will ship directly to the school and the school will notify you when it is ready for pick up. Parental Partnership: Dress Code To enable students to reach high academic standards, the school has put in place a dress code designed to reduce distractions and competitions. Implementing a simple, flexible, cost-effective dress code promotes student learning and increased academic instruction time. Interpretation of the Dress Code is at the principal and staff s discretion and their decision is final. Personal Hygiene The personal grooming of students should be in accord with the standards set by the uniform dress code. Students should be clean and neat when at school. All Students Students must wear bright green, gray or white shirts with collars (includes turtlenecks, mock turtleneck, long- or short-sleeved, cotton or knit). No logos larger than 1 other than school logos are permitted. A bright green polo purchased only through Image Builders is encouraged. A customer service representative will be available from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday Eastern Standard Time or go to the school website for more information. Shirts must be tucked in (Y5-8). No sleeveless shirts, tank tops, or muscle shirts are permitted. Pants, skirts, shorts, capris and jumpers must be navy blue (Y5-5). No sagging pants or low riser pants are permitted. Cold weather attire may include any solid-colored sweaters, vests or fleeces. No hoods are permitted. No sweatshirts are permitted in the classrooms except for special occasions as announced. A collared shirt must be worn under sweaters and vests. No logos larger than 1 other than school logos are permitted. Conservative shoes: solid brown, black, navy, or burgundy (loafer style, dress shoes and tennis shoes) must be worn. Shoes/boots must be all one color (the sole color must match the shoe color). Fashion boots are permitted. Snow boots are permitted only as outerwear and must be removed and replaced with uniform shoes upon entering the classroom. Heels on shoes must be no higher than two inches. Platform shoes or open-back and open-toe shoes (e.g., clogs) are not permitted. Shoelaces must be tied. Hats and head scarves may not be worn inside the building. This provision does not apply to head coverings worn for religious reasons if the student applies for and receives approval from the school administration to wear such head coverings. Extreme hairstyles and colored faux hair are not permitted. Hair color must be of natural tones. For boys, hair must be off the collar. Sweatpants, wide-leg pants, carpenter pants, cargo pants with multiple large pockets, and drawstring pants are not permitted. No denim or jean material is permitted. Belts must be worn with pants that have belt loops. Wearing, carrying, and displaying gang paraphernalia, names, signs, or symbols of gang membership are prohibited. Pants, skirts, shorts, etc. must be worn at the waist. No tattoos are permitted. Clothing wrapped around the waist is not permitted. No ripped or torn clothing is permitted. Socks can be any color, as long as they are school appropriate. 2

Middle School Uniforms In order to provide middle school students an opportunity to feel autonomous from the elementary counterparts, middle school students are assigned a different uniform. All uniform requirements for elementary students apply except for the following: Middle school students must wear bright green, gray, white or light blue shirts with collars (includes mock turtleneck, turtlenecks, long or short sleeved, cotton or knit). No logos larger than 1 other than school logos are permitted. A bright green polo purchased only through Image Builders is encouraged. Ties purchased only through Image Builders is encouraged. Middle school students must wear navy blue or khaki colored pants, skirts, shorts, capris or jumpers. Boys Pants and shorts must be navy (Y5-5), and navy or khaki for middle school (6-8). Socks must be worn at all times and can be any color. Hairstyles must be conservative with hair being off the collar, unless religious need. Earrings and other body piercing ornaments are not permitted. Cloth ties and bowties or a conservative pattern may be worn. Makeup is not permitted. Girls Pants, shorts, skirts, skorts, and jumpers, must be navy (Y5-5) and navy or khaki for middle school (6-8) Shorts, skirts and skorts must be no shorter than two inches above the knee. Socks can be any color as long as they are school appropriate. Solid white, black, or navy full-length tights or full length leggings can be worn under dresses and skirts. Full length leggings are only permitted under dresses and skirts (move this up to line above) No more than two earrings per ear are permitted. Earring length must be shorter than one inch. Only ears may be pierced. Makeup is not permitted. Spirit Day On Spirit Day, which is decided in advance and announced by the school administration, the following rules apply: Solid teal or black shirts, with or without collar, are permitted. Shirts with or without a collar containing shark (SCS) logos are permitted. No other logos are permitted. College Bound shirts, given to Y5/Kinder students, may be worn on Spirit Day. On days where casual bottoms are permitted, which are decided by and announced in advance by the school administration, shorts, skirts, pants should not be ripped. Shorts and skirts must follow all other guidelines. Leggings are not permitted. Shirts must have sleeves. No clothing (including hats, shoes, and accessories) containing inappropriate words or pictures (e.g., items that depict sex, violence, gore, drugs, alcohol, or weapons) is permitted. No ripped clothing is permitted. 3

No flip flops or sandals are permitted. College Shirt Day College shirt day is the second Wednesday of the month unless communicated differently by school administration. The following rules apply: College shirts are permitted. This can be a t-shirt, sweatshirt, jersey, or hoodie. College Bound shirts, given to Y5/Kinder students, may be worn on College Shirt Day. Casual bottoms and shoes are permitted. No flip flops or sandals are permitted. Leggings are not permitted. Shirts must have sleeves. No clothing (including hats, shoes, and accessories) containing inappropriate words or pictures (e.g., items that depict sex, violence, gore, drugs, alcohol, or weapons) is permitted.
