Anointing the feet, rubbing down the spine to aid in calming hyperactivity. 5. Application to knees, hips and spine to aid in spinal alignment and relieve pain along spine. 6. 2 Frankincense (Boswellia carterii) is one of the holy oils from the middle east. This oil comes from the resin and is in many Young Living Blends. 1. Put 1 drop on insect bite (can also layer with Lavender or Purification) to decrease inflammation and pain and cleanse the site. 2. Apply to bruises. 3. Use to reduce discoloration of scars and restore tissue. 4. Apply to warts 5. Apply to wounds for disinfection, healing and tissue restoration. 6. Use warm compress over sore throat. 7. Put a couple of drops in hand and inhale deeply to increase relaxation and oxygenation of the pineal and pituitary glands. 8. Apply over area of injury or broken bones multiple times to reduce inflammation and pain and promote healing. (can layer with PanAway and Peppermint) 9. Anoint the base of the skull to stimulate the limbic system, which is the center of the emotions. 10. Apply to the base of skull, bottom of feet, over the heart to reduce feelings of sadness or anxiety. 11. Apply to base of brain for help with seizure control. Thieves is a blend of Clove, Lemon, Cinnamon Bark, Eucalyptus radiate and Rosemary essential oils. 1. Brush and gargle for a clean mouth. Thieves combination oil is included in Young Living Toothpaste products. 2. Rub into bottom of feet or shoulders to aid in protecting from colds, flu and other seasonally spread discomforts. 3. Apply diluted directly to chest with hot compress as aid to the lungs and bronchi during times of lung stress. 4. Apply diluted directly to the throat are for sore throat or swollen glands. 5. Put a drop on a cut or infected wound to combat infection. 6. Apply daily to help with removal of warts, moles, skin tags, slivers and splinters. 7. Inhale while flying to combat nausea and contaminated air. 8. Put 10 drops in a spray bottle with water and sprritz pet bedding or bird cages to decrease bacteria, mold and microbe growth, and as a safe and natural pesticide. 9. Carry in a small spray bottle to use in public restrooms, on door handles, shopping carts etc. as a disinfectant to help with protection from pathogens and transmittable infections.

3 Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) is called the Swiss army knife of the essential oils. 1. Rub into the bottom of the feet for a calming effect on the body. 2. Rub a drop into the palms and on the pillow fto help with sleep. 3. Put a drop on insect bites to reduce swelling and stop itching. 4. Put a couple of drops on burns to decrease pain. Repeat as often as necessary. 5. Place a drop on a cut to help stop bleeding. 6. Mix several drops with carrier oil and apply to dry skin areas. 7. To help with symptoms of motion sickness, place a drop around the naval or behind the ears. 8. For nose bleed, place a drop on a tissue, then cover a chip of ice and hold at the base of the nose. 9. For blocked tear ducts, apply a drop on the bridge of the nose. 10. Rub into chapped hands. 11. Apply to sunburn or chapped lips. 12. Massage on area of injury to reduce scarring. 13. Use as a deodorant, either apply a couple of drops directly or make a spritzer with several drops in a spray bottle filled water. 14. Rub several drops into scalp to help relief dandruff. 15. Use as insect repellant in linen closet, drawers and cupboards to repel moths and insects. 16. Use 2-4 drops in decorative fountains to scent the air and reduce bacteria. Fountains will not need to be cleaned as often. 17. Place several drops on a washcloth and add to dryer to scent clothes. Can use several drops in a spray bottle filled with oil and sprayed on washcloth. 18. Place one drop on cold sore. 19. Inhale from palms to alleviate symptoms of hay fever. 20. Diffuse to alleviate symptoms of allergies 21. Spritz several drops of Lavender oil mixed with distilled water on sunburn to soothe the skin and decrease pain. 22. Drop Lavender oil on a cut to clean the wound and kill bacteria. 23. Apply 2-3 drops of Lavender oil to a rash to stop the itching and heal the skin. Lemon (Citrus limon) has antiseptic properties and contains compounds which have been studied for the effects on the immune system. CAUTION: citrus oils should not be applied to skin which will be exposed to directly sunlight or ultraviolet light within the next 72 hours.

4 1. Add several drops of lemon (and purification) to water and spritz as a room air freshener. 2. Use 1 drop to flavor food, drinking water or cooking. 3. Mix 2 drops lemon, 2 tablespoons honey and two cups pure water for homemade lemonade, adjust to taste. 4. Rub 1 drop morning and night at site of corn, callous or bunion to help reduce. 5. Let fruit soak for a few minutes in a bowl full of water with 2-3 drops of lemon oil, to clean and extend the freshness. 6. Add 2-3 drops to water and use to disinfect counter tops. 7. Add a drop to dishwasher to help with cleaning action and reduce spotting. 8. Soak dishcloth or sponge in water with couple crops of lemon to disinfect and clean between uses. 9. Use 1-2 drops to remove gum. Oil, grease or crayon. 10. Use a drop rubbed into hands as a disinfectant when traveling 11. Sanitize bathroom fixtures and door handles with a few drops of lemon on cloth. 12. Place a drop on cold sores and mouth ulcers to help heal. 13. Put drop on bleeding gums caused by gingivitis or tooth extraction. 14. Put a drop of oil on skin or acne to balance sebaceous glands. 15. Rub several drops on cellulite to improve circulation and help eliminate waste from fat cells. 16. Rub on athlete s foot location to help clear. 17. Rub on varicose veins to help improve circulation and relieve pressure on the veins. 18. Rub on wart morning and night until it disappears. 19. Rub into butcher s block to eliminate bacterial growth. 20. Put drops in each gallon of carpet cleaning solution to help pullout stains and brighten the rug and leave smelling fresh. Peppermint (Mentha piperita) is one of the most highly regarded herbs for soothing digestion. DO NOT USE Peppermint on children under the age of 3 s faces. Avoid using at night because it is a stimulator. 1. Rub 4-6drops in palm and rub over stomach to relieve indigestion, flatulence, and diarrhea. 2. Add one drop of peppermint oil to herbal tea to aid in digestion and heartburn. 3. Massage several drops of peppermint on are of injury to relieve inflammation

5 4. Use for shock from an acute injury or shock in general. 5. Rub into bottom of feet to reduce fever. 6. Apply on unbroken skin to relieve itching. 7. For poison ivy or poison oak, dilute peppermint with carrier oil and apply on location. 8. Inhale peppermint oil before a workout to boost mood and reduce fatigue. 9. Massage on abdomen to relieve nausea. 10. To relieve headache, place several drops of peppermint in palms of hands, rub hands together in a clockwise motion and inhale deeply. Apply to temples and back of head. 11. Try peppermint for hiccups, one drop of 4 th cervical at base of neck. 12. To use for alertness; place a drop on tongue and under nose. 13. Diffuse peppermint in room where studying and concentration is needed. 14. Rub on chest and stomach to relieve travel sickness. 15. Inhale peppermint to relieve congestion and stuffiness. 16. Use to deter rats, mice, ants or cockroaches by placing on cotton ball in the area of concern 17. Rub into joints for relief of pain. 18. Use as breath freshener, one drop on the tongue. 19. Remove ticks by applying a drop of peppermint oil on cotton swab and swabbing tick. 20. Mix peppermint oil with a little salt and put into a foot bath to relieve sore feet. Panaway is a blend of Helichrysum Wintergreen, Clove and Peppermint. 1. Apply PanAway topically to sore muscles after exercising. 2. Use PanAway on injured area to reduce inflammation and bruising. 3. Rub a drop of PanAway on temples, forehead, back of neck to relieve headache. 4. Mix PanAway in a carrier oil and massage on bones or joints to alleviate growing pains in children. 5. Rub 1-2 drops of PanAway on inflamed joints. 6. Rub 2-3 drops at base of spine to relieve sciatic pain. 7. For pets with joint pain, massage PanAway oil diluted with carrier oil and apply on location. Dilute essential oils with a good vegetable oil (grapeseed, almond, olive, emu oil) before applying to the mucous membranes or sensitive skin. 2. Adding water to an oil on the skin excites the oil and increases the intensity. Dilute as described above. 3. Disperse the oils in a bath salt solution of Epson salts and baking soda or sea salt and baking soda and add to bath water. This prevents the drops of oil form floating on to of the bath water. 4.
