With the school vacations to be over shortly, we can see more action. In June we have lined up lot of programmes such as the popular Karaoke on 19 th, Tennis tournaments from 19 th to 27 th and cards tournament on 27 th. The Members Nite will be held as usual in the month of July for which you will get the detailed programme shortly. Plans are on to refurnish the Platinum Point, Ruby Hall and major renovation to Crystal Room. Discussions are on to negotiate the charter of demands furnished by the union employees. Taking into consideration the financial implications to the club, the management is trying to negotiate an amicable settlement with the employees union. Suggestions from members to improve the functioning of the club are always welcome. We do have periodical meetings with the various department supervisors along with MIC - Staff to tone up the administration. We propose to extend SMS alert to our members about the outstanding bills shortly. Members are requested to furnish their mobile, id to the club if not done already. 9 The Structure of the skin and Aging Come summer or winter, we are exposed to the harsh weather and the most affected part of us is the SKIN. The skin is the largest organ in our body, which is a flexible protective shield that maintains our body moisture and protects delicate tissues, through an elaborate cooling and healing system. The skin as we all know is comprised the dermis, the epidermis and the subcutaneous; the first two determine our aesthetic appearances. These 3 layers vary in total thickness from 1/50 of an inch on the eyelids to as much a 1/3 of an inch on the palms and soles of the feet. The subcutaneous layer connects the skin to the tissues covering the muscles and bones and is comprised of vessels, nerves, and fat lobules. It is soft, fatty formation of your skin. As you grow older, the fatty tissues is absorbed by the body, removing the springy base from under the outer layers, leaving them to hang loose, form folds and create wrinkles. THE PRESIDENCY CLUB NEWS The dermis and the second layer contains, blood vessels, nerves, nerve receptors, hair follicles, sweat and oil glands. It also contains cells called FIBROBLASTS, which provide elasticity and suppleness to the skin. ELASTIN AND COLLAGEN are the two items found within these layers. The Body is constantly, manufacturing new skin cells called KERATINOCYTES and are rich in KERATIN. The skin has two aging processes: NATURAL BIOLOGICAL AGING This unavoidable and may vary considerably based on sex, age and skin type. To counteract normal aging one has to address the factors of lifestyle, skin type needs, moistturization, hydration, protection and nutrition. SECONDARY AGING. Lifestyle, External and internal environment, Pollution, Sun, wind and cold. In today s scenario, it has become imperative to look after the skin and hence needs a certain regime to promote youth, vigor, freshness and radiance. The rules are very simple: Keep the skin clean, hydrated and toned Avoid unnecessary exposure to harmful environmental elements. Carefully monitor what you apply to your skin. I being a conscious person of my looks, feel that skin a great give away to your mental and physical framework and hence having gone through a lot of experiments have come to a conclusion that: Cleanse twice daily with an ALOE EXFOLIATING CLEANSER.
