This movement has concerne itself with upsetting fictions like the artistic genius an masterpiece, which sustain a concept of art that presents itself as inepenent of its historical an social context. The Guerrilla Girls artist collective starte its activities in the mi-1980s in opposition to the renewe interest in these fictions that came with the rise of Neo-liberalism.
