This innovtive outfit includes: segmented pdded jcket with removble hood, loose-fitting jumper with convertible sleeves, nd denim jens with dptble length nd reflective knee pds. Typiclly, metmorphosis involves the trnsformtion of n orgnism into nother (more complex nd cpble) form, for exmple cterpillrs metmorphosing into butterflies. decided to utilize this ide to conceptulise design which would llow some of the most mrginlised people within our community feel equipped when fcing the vrious chllenges ssocited with being homeless. Designed with loose silhouettes, elstic cuff nd wistlines, nd djustble lengths, this verstile outfit is suitble for most dult body shpes, in most climtes. The tri-segmented pdded jcket truly demonstrtes trnsformtive nture. The removble segments cn be trnsformed into either crrier bg or bby swddle through the pull of drwstring or snp of four buttons. Alterntively, the full length of the jcket my be retined nd with pull of the lowest drwstring, temporry sleeping bg is creted. A removble hood cn lso be ttched, perfect for wind or rin. Furthermore, the jumper converts sleeve lengths by simply buttoning the convertible sleeve tb. The pnts cn dpt from jens to shorts by undoing the zips which surround the knees. The ccessibility nd verstility of this design llows problems such s childcre, sleep, nd vrying climtes to be esily ddressed by the homeless. The pdded jcket is constructed using tri-lyer insultion, consisting of rust-red 100% Merino wool Neuln Protect exterior (woven), 100% Merino wool filling, nd tn brown 100% mercerised Merino wool interior (knit). The wool innovtion, Neuln Protect, is pproprite s the fbric is wter/wind resistnt nd extremely durble nd brethble, mking the jcket perfect for vrious wether conditions. The wool filling is lso idel s it is lightweight, voluminous (for protection), odour resistnt, nd performs exceptionlly s insultion. The wool innovtion of mercerised Merino wool provides n extremely luxurious texture, whilst offering UV protection, temperture regultion, nd dirt/odour mngement, idyllic for next-to-skin comfort in everydy life. The jumper mde of green/grey 100% mercerised Merino wool (20 guge, 350 gsm, knit), provides beneficil chrcteristics similr to the jcket interior, offering comfort in situtions often fced by homeless people. The cuffed sleeves mde from 60% polyester nd 40% elstne both estheticlly mtch the jcket whilst optimising het retention, comfort, nd suitbility to rnge of individuls. The olive green pnts utilise the Merino Wool Denim innovtion, consisting of 80% cotton nd 20% Merino wool (woven). Merino denim is extremely durble, insulted, nd comfortble, whilst lso mintining esthetic vlue. The fbric s high durbility pired with the wterproof, reflective nylon kneepds provide the homeless with suitble protection nd wrmth in rough living conditions. The Woolmrk logo is iconic within the fshion industry, indicting products mde from 100% Pure New Wool. This provides the consumer with confidence in the qulity chrcteristics typiclly ssocited with the Merino wool grment. While my designed outfit does not contin ny grments mde from 100% Pure New Wool, Wool Blend logos cn be pplied. For exmple, Wool Rich Blend logos on the jcket nd jumper, nd Wool Blend Performnce logos on the pnts nd boots.
