2 Appearance Standards MPI prides itself on presenting a polished, poised presence at all events. This includes personal attire worn before show costumes. All cast members are required to wear Aloha/Polynesianinspired attire that is clean and pressed. You must ARRIVE and LEAVE in appropriate attire that follows our dress code. For females, all tattoos must be covered prior to your arrival at any Malu event. Males are allowed to have tattoos visible. Attire must be tasteful, appropriate, and most importantly, conservative. MPI clients hire us for our superior service. Appearance is very important to them and to us, and we must be aware of the impression we make on everyone we encounter.

3 Appearance Standards What is considered Polynesian/Aloha Attire? Prints that include: Tropical or Hawaiian Flowers Full print designs or patterns throughout the fabric (compared to only 1 large flower on material or print). Tribal designs are accepted if it originates from a Polynesian Island. What is NOT considered Polynesian/Aloha Attire? Prints that include: Daisy, carnation, sunflowers and roses are not acceptable (a.k.a. funeral or American flowers). African/Aztec designs are not Polynesian Can you tell me what Polynesian Island your print represents? If your answer is no, it is probably not acceptable!

4 Female Performers General Guidelines Full Polynesian/Aloha Wear attire is preferred. BUT, you may use at least 50% Polynesian/Aloha Attire. Your top or bottom clothing must be full Polynesian/Aloha print The other half of your outfit may be standard American clothing (i.e. solid color slacks, skirt, top, etc.) Polynesian/Aloha Dress, Skirt, Pants outfit or Jacket. Leggings-(Butt must be covered by a blouse or a dress that falls below the buttocks/groin area) Company Logo Hat Company Logo Clothing (including Company Logo Tank top) *Approved/recommended attire for any Venue!

6 Female Performers Unacceptable Female Attire Tight, excessively form fitting clothing, or revealing too much of one s private areas. Do not show cleavage. Do not show midriff. NO JEAN PANTS NO JEAN SHORTS NO JEAN JACKETS T-shirts or crop tops Jean shorts, Jean pants or Jean jackets Short-length Rompers Torn or tattered clothing Non-Company Logo Hats Dresses or skirts that are too short in length NO HOODIE JACKETS BLOUSE MUST COVER BUTTOCKS/GROIN AREA DO NOT SHOW CLEAVAGE *Approved/recommended attire NO SHORT ROMPERS

7 Female Performers Footwear Acceptable Female Footwear Nice footwear is required. Short Wedge Heeled Sandals recommended. Sandals are ok but they must not be rubber/thong flip flops. Nude, brown, beige colored footwear recommended. Black colored footwear is fine as long as it matches attire. Unacceptable Female Footwear NO Rubber Slippers NO Thong slippers (unless with a small wedge) No flat slippers NO boots Absolutely NO high heels or Stiletto style shoes.

8 Female Performers Additional Guidelines At DH/HK Lu aus, and NCL Honolulu you are allowed to wear the following: Sandals are allowed at Lu aus, and while boarding and leaving the NCL Honolulu cruise ship, but they must be nice and not rubber/thong flip flops. Short Wedge Heeled Sandals recommended. At Conventions and NCL Maui, you must be fully dressed in Polynesian attire (as shown in picture) because these venues provide the most exposure to our clients, and future clients. They get to see how we arrive and depart from a show, which is very important in our industry, so we must be as professional as possible. Management may determine that some females may need to wear a fall or wig if their hair does not meet the MPI standard for color, length, and/or volume. It is mandatory that your fall be on prior to arrival on property at any venue. It must stay on for the duration of time at the venue. It may not be removed until you are in your car leaving property.

12 Male Performers Additional Guidelines for Specific Venues At DH/HK Lu aus you are allowed to wear the following: Black dress shorts and sandals. No rubber slippers/flip flops Khaki shorts are allowed but ONLY at our Lu aus! At NCL Honolulu you are allowed to wear the following: Black slacks Sandals are allowed while boarding and leaving the ship, but they must be nice and not rubber/thong flip flops. At Conventions and NCL Maui the following dress code is mandatory: Black slacks Dress shoes These are mandatory because at NCL Maui and our conventions, we must be dressed as nice as possible (as shown in picture). 13 Appearance Standards General Appearance Standards Hair is clean and neatly styled Look and act professional at all times Dancers should be slim, in shape, and tanned (Maintaining fitness and health is an important part of professional entertainment and dance.) Body odors (breath and body) should be under control and fresh; deodorant used All facial piercings/earrings should be removed Clean shaven Overall hygiene kept in check

14 Summary Dress nice and appropriate for all venues. Approved Malu Company Hat LC s and OSM s will address you should you not be following dress code standards. If you are unsure of a specific venues dress codes, overdress to ensure you meet the standards!
