1 18 th January 2018 TENDER FOR SUPPLY OF UNIFORMS, PROTECIVE CLOTHING AND FOOTWEAR KGN-HR In accordance to the Tender for Supply of Uniforms, Protective Clothing and Footwear, KenGen issues Addendum No. 1 The tender opening date has been extended to 16 th February 2018 at 10.00am Item no Question Answer 1 Are distances mentioned one way or two One way way? 2 Is bidder to meet accommodation costs or Bidder to meet all costs of tendering KenGen? 3 Will the Uniforms be delivered to the All deliveries shall be to Head Office Stations or Head Office? 4 Will samples be returned to bidders whether they win or lose? Winning bidders sample will be retained by KenGen. Losing bidders will have their samples returned before expiry of tender validity. 5 Will samples for shoes be a single shoe or a Pair pair? 6 What is the period of Tender Validity 120 days 7 What is period of tender Securing Declaration for Validity 8 The Appendix to instructions to tenderers refers to 3 schedules while the rest of the document and the summary price schedule refers to 5 schedules. What is the correct position? There are 5 schedules namely - Protective Clothing - Hand Gloves - Measured Uniforms - Protective Footwear - Special requirements The clause is therefore amended as follows: C)Financial Evaluation The award criteria shall be based on three categories/lots namely, Protective Clothing, Hand Gloves, Measured Uniforms, Protective Footwear and Special Requirements. ALL items in each lot MUST therefore be quoted. The lowest evaluated compliant bidder in each of the categories shall be considered for award for the respective items. 9 Full Overalls Item I (Part IA) - Is the overall described heat resistant? The material shall be 100% Cotton which is heat resistant

2 Specification for Drivers Uniforms DRIVERS GENTS Grey Jacket Material shall be wool silk S i n g l e breasted three button jacket F u l l y lined with two large pockets with concealed flaps in the lower part of each front and one small outer chest pocket on the upper left corner without flap and inner chest pocket. T h e sleeves will have three buttons on the wrists. T h e KenGen Logo will be embroidered on the upper left corner. It should be in three colours and be on one-inch diameter and Label KenGen name in black and of two inches. Bidder to submit sample Grey Trouser Material shall be wool silk S t r a i g h t with a turn-up at the end. Side slant pocket on each side and another one enclosed with a button at the right back. The KenGen Logo will be embroidered on the flap on the upper left pocket it should be in three colors and be of one-inch diameter and the label KenGen name in black and of two inches.
