Our Layered Pillows have a core or spine of feathers, around which we wrap a thick layer of down rather like a sandwich. The feathers provide the support and are what give the pillow spring. This means the fabric is woven with a strong bre, being longer and more importantly the Thread Count (TC) is obtained by having one vertical and one horizontal cotton strand as opposed to a cheaper format of 2 vertical vs 1 horizontal of a much thinner and shorter bre.
