1 2017 Table of Contents Costume Information for Funky Freedom, Hip Hop Boom, Hip Hop Bounce, Hip Hop Groove, Hip Hop Jam, Hip Hop Swag & Boys Hip Hop + Finale (for all classes). *Please note, some classes have the same costume. 2 FUNKY FREEDOM - (Tuesday & Thursday) - 24K Magic Hair: Hair can be in a ponytail, half up/half down or any style except completely down to avoid covering faces. Outfit: Put together an outfit that is black, white and GOLD. We want each student to be an individual with their own style. This can be pulled from the closet, borrowed, purchased at a thrift store or be a new school outfit. The idea is for them to be able to wear some of it again or have worn it. Create a funky, urban, semi-street wearable outfit with a flare. A little bling like sequins and rhinestones are good. Words are okay but only if they are BOLD and go with the dance!

3 HIP HOP BOOM (Monday & Friday) - Good Times *Please note Wednesday s Class has a different costume. Hair: Hair can be in a ponytail, half up/half down or any style except completely down to avoid covering faces. Keep in mind if dancers are in another number before or after Hip Hop that require a specific style as well and be sure it s possible to achieve them all. Outfit: Put together an outfit that is black, white and red. We want each student to be an individual with their own style. This can be pulled from the closet, borrowed, purchased at a thrift store or be a new school outfit. The idea is for them to be able to wear some of it again or have worn it. Outfit: Put together an outfit that is black, red, orange & yellow. Think Dynamite/Fire! We want each student to be an individual with their own style. This can be pulled from the closet, borrowed, purchased at a thrift store or be a new school outfit. The idea is for them to be able to wear some of it again or have worn it. Create a funky, urban, semi-street wearable outfit with a flare (using neon.) A little bling like sequins and rhinestones are good. Words are okay but only if they are BOLD! Outfit: Get Low - We are purchasing the shirt below which will be charged to each dancer s account. Each dancer will put together the rest of their outfit using black, white and Royal blue. PLEASE be sure the rest of the outfit is primarily black and white with BLUE accents such as in a hat, jewelry, stripe on pants or in shoes, etc. We want each student to be an individual with their own style. This can be pulled from the closet, borrowed, purchased at a thrift store or be a new outfit. The idea is for them to be able to wear some of it again or have worn it. 10 BOYS HIP HOP - (Thursday) - Who Let The Dawgs Out? Shoes: Any athletic/tennis shoes that are black and/or white Hair: Hair should look cool, clean and styled. Outfit: Boys will be provided a white tee with their Dawg nickname and favorite color airbrushed on it which will be charged to each dancer s account. They will need to provide their own Black and White athletic pants (any brand/style). Accessories: Jewelry and hats that go with the outfit are okay but must be completely secure and Idea of shirt being ordered: Ideas for the rest of the outfit:

11 BOYS HIP HOP - (Friday) - Basketball Shoes: Any basketball or athletic shoes. Hair: Hair should look cool, clean and styled. Outfit: Boys will be provided with Shorts which will be charged to each dancer s account. The rest of the outfit should be put together on their own with Warrior s Colors (limited to Blue, Gold, White and Gray). They do not need to be actual Warrior s items just colors. Accessories: Jewelry and hats that go with the outfit are okay but must be completely secure and Shorts being ordered (or alternative): Ideas for the rest of the outfit:

12 All Dancers - Finale Please Don t Stop The Music Shirt/Top: Any Joy in Motion Apparel. Dancers may wear other items as well. EXAMPLE: Dancers may wear JiM colors (yellow and/or teal) shirts, camisoles or tank tops underneath. Bottoms: Any pants, shorts, skirts or leggings that go with black, teal or yellow. (Some white is okay too!) Shoes: Any Shoes that that go with their outfit, including their Hip Hop shoes. Hair: Whatever fits their personality and that they have time for. Accessories: All dancers may accessorize with JiM colors. (jewelry, hair bows, socks, gloves, belts, etc.) All items must be secure and unable to fall off. No hats please.
