Each inmate requesting to make an outside purchase must have adequate funds available in his personal account at the time of request. Credit and layaway purchases are not permitted. 2. Any returns of items shall be at the inmate s expense. 3. All purchases must be approved by the appropriate personal prior to the time the item is received by the facility. Request for outside purchases shall be initiated by the inmate only and reviewed by a designated facility official, who will approve or disapprove the request. Final approval is made upon inspection when the item is received. 4. Merchandise must meet DOC specifications and price guidelines as specified below. If an item is in question, please check with your property manager or security prior to ordering. I. Boots/Shoes: Dress or work, maximum height of 6 measured from inside to top of shoe, maximum heel height of 1 1/4, no safety toes, no metal shanks, no metal buckles, no straps, catches, pocket or fur lining. Maximum $ plus shipping. Color limited to Black, Brown or Wheat Nubuck. II. Sneakers or Tennis Shoes: Air pumps and removable air pockets prohibited. Maximum $80.00 per pair plus shipping. Each inmate requesting to make an outside purchase must have adequate funds available in her personal account at the time of request. Credit and layaway purchases are not permitted. 2. Any returns of items shall be at the inmate s expense. 3. All purchases must be approved by the appropriate personal prior to the time the item is received by the facility. Return freight will be the responsibility of the shipper. Returns may be accessed to a 10% restocking fee. If you wish to make an exchange due to fit your restocking fee will be waived however, please remember to send $5.99 to cover the freight. MBS is not responsible for returned product that is lost or damaged in transit. When necessary we suggest you insure the return purchase for full value.
