More than ever before, we experimented with new fabrications and tried to create items that function as active wear but perfectly fit in what ever you are doing. Years ago, when we first started Anjali, the goal was always to create clothes that would take you from practice to lunch or even to dinner. This was before the term athleisure was coined and before leggings were considered acceptable office gear. It was how we lived our lives and so we aimed to create clothes that fit our lifestyle. This season there is no theme. Just clothes that represent what we think is cool, functional, fun and a bit daring at times. We want you to feel right wearing our clothes on any occasion. 19 Fit Guidelines To measure your inseam, take your shoes off and measure from your crotch to the floor, along the inside of your leg. The majority of our garments are pre-shrunk to ensure a quality first time fit. Depending on your height, pants may need to be hemmed. Be sure to wear the shoes you would normally wear while pinning the pants. Most of our customers prefer their pants to be hemmed a bit longer for a more comfortable relaxed style. If fit too tightly, fabrics with spandex woven in may have an underlying sheen that reflects light. The fit should normally be a bit snug but not restrictive in movement. 20 About Anjali We first started talking about a yoga inspired clothing line shortly after our first Yoga class in We were both designers at large companies in New York and were doing really well in our careers. Yoga though, captured our hearts and it was a conversation we had for six years until we finally made it a reality. We talked about the company we envisioned; We wanted a place where we could be creative and where we could have fun; We wanted to make our clothes in the US. We wanted to be ethical in our business and to be environmentally and socially responsible. We wanted to be about people and work with like minded individuals that we like and respect. After all, you are the company you keep, so keep good company We still run our business that way! Even though we have expanded our distribution from a single Yoga studio in New Jersey to hundreds of stores across the US and around the world. We make the clothes we are looking for. They are not necessarily meant for a single end use but rather a piece of clothing that you can take from a Yoga Class to lunch, or from a hike to pretty much any activity you are in the mood for. Our own wardrobe these days, is made up of items that always seem perfectly appropriate no matter what we are up to. That is our vision for Anjali. We select fabrics that feel good against the skin and are in alignment with a life style vision of what we strive to cultivate in our Yoga practice. We design artwork that reminds us, and all that see it, of the inherent beauty and goodness that resides in each and every one of us. 21 Terms & Conditions First time customers must pay by Credit Card. Repeat customers may apply for credit terms and are subject to credit verification. Maximum terms are 30 days from the date of shipment. We will not accept cancellations on ASAP or As Ready orders.
