When silver comes into contact with Salt, Lemon, Parmesan cheese or Vinegar, it must be washed under running water and dried thoroughly. Never clean candlesticks and candelabras with liquid (there are many soldering and empty cavities inside) For those products we recommend using an anti-tarnish cloth. Cutlery is a material easy to clean / maintain such as plexiglass. You can use them daily without worrying about scratching. You may wash your Greggio Silverplated pieces in the dishwasher with a non-aggressive detergent and no salt; Do not leave silverplated items wet for very long. The silverplating of the production for hotel and food industry is very thick and made with pure silver 999.5%. A 35 micron thickness is applied to cutlery and 15 microns on hollowware. Silverplating is thicker on rims and points which can be easily scratched. Our silver plating process is carried out by using very pure silver, free from any element that can affect its malleability and silver brightness. Our Galvanic silverplating gives nickel an excellent protection and guarantees long lasting and durable items.
