1 Uniform Policy KINDY YEAR 6 GIRLS UNIFORM Dress: College dress available from College uniform shop. Guidelines: Dresses must be touching the knee when standing straight and no shorter than approximately 0.5 cm off the floor when kneeling. Dresses may be worn longer if desired but not shorter. Ensure that a blind hem is used when hemming dresses. Please ensure that a generous hem allowance is maintained for future years. All raw edges need to be over locked. Please understand that if the dress has been permanently shortened above the allowed length, you will be made to purchase a new dress and your child will not be allowed back to school until they are wearing the regulation length. College Sports Jacket can be worn over the College jumper for extra warmth. The Sports Jacket cannot be worn with the formal uniform (Winter Option: Navy opaque tights or stockings free of holes and in good condition. No patterns allowed.) White socks are not to be worn over the top of tights. Hair accessories are to be simple and unadorned with lace, flowers, bows etc. Navy, white or light blue accessories. Hair must be kept away from the face. Hair that is below the shoulder in length must be tied up. Hair colour is to be natural in appearance. College issue white ankle socks with College logo available from the College uniform shop. Navy College issued bucket hat. Strict NO SHARE policy. NO HAT, NO PLAY. uniform. No pattern or embellished stitching is allowed. Shoes should offer appropriate heel and arch support with heels no higher than 3 cm. The toes should be completely enclosed. Slipper, ballerina or flat-soled shoes, skate/street shoes, Volleys, canvas shoes, hiking shoes or black leather Lynx style runners will not be allowed. Kindy and Year 1 students may wear black leather or synthetic leather look polished school shoes with a Velcro fastening if they cannot tie their shoe laces. These shoes must resemble the lace up version and may not be the Mary Jane style. Gold or silver plain stud earrings only (Size 3-4mm). One stud per earlobe is permitted. Any other jewellery worn will be confiscated until the end of the term. Any piercing is to be done over the Christmas break. Minimum 6 weeks before return to College. Girls undergarments are to be natural in colour (i.e. no black or bright colours) when worn under the white sport polo. Singlets are to be tucked in and not visible below the bottom of shirts. and correct jumper. Non-Uniform Day Guidelines Students are to dress modestly on free dress days. For girls, no singlets or tank tops allowed and shorts must come to the bottom of their fingers when standing straight with arms by their side. Low cut tops are not to be worn. The jewellery policy still applies to free dress days. For safety reasons, students must wear covered in shoes. A free dress hat must be worn in all outdoor activities PE, recess and lunch. College issue sky blue short sleeve shirts available from the College uniform shop. College issue grey socks with stripe available from the College uniform shop. College jumper available from the College uniform shop. Hair must be tidy, short and clear of the collar, ears and eyebrows. Student haircuts must trend toward a conservative style. Hair should not be shorter than a No 2 blade clipper. Hair product may be sensibly used if it helps the student comply with the code. Hair colour should look natural. Boys must be clean-shaven. Students may be excluded from school until their hair meets the hair policy requirements. A final decision on hair will always be at the discretion of the College Administration.
