2 Skin System Vascular blemish treatment system The Skin System provides a quick and effective treatment for telangiectasia, cherry angiomas, spider veins, skin tags, milia, pigmentation, sebaceous hyperplasia, and more. The Skin System provides an inexpensive procedure with better results than high intensity devises such as laser or hyfrecators. 1. Little discomfort 2. No bruising 3. More affordable The quick and simple treatment will not cause scarring or hyperpigmentation. The Skin System uses low level Radio Frequency (RF) and DC (galvanic) current simultaneously to coagulate skin blemishes without desiccating surrounding tissue. The treatment is very localized resulting in minimal skin reaction. The Phoresis modality will reduce redness; swelling and the germicidal effect of the current promotes the healing process. Most blemishes can be treated in a few seconds. Depending on the amount of blemishes to be treated the session can last about minutes. Is it painful? Some experience a prickly sensation that can be mildly uncomfortable. Your skin care therapist may use a numbing agent for the treatment in sensitive areas to minimize the discomfort. If an injectable is used the formulation will be without epinephrine in order to diminish the effect of vessel constriction. How is the procedure done? Your skin care therapist will clean and prep the area. A sterile probe touches the blemish and the RF and DC currents pass through the probe into the treatment area coagulating the blemish. The treatment area is then blotted with an astringent and left alone. Optional: the Cataphoresis mode can be used to calm the skin by applying a damp cotton round and gliding the phoresis roller over it. Post treatment care is critical for success. Nothing must be done to open or disturb the treated area. Anything that increases the skin s blood flow or stretches the skin must be avoided for at least 24 hours. Clients must not stretch their skin, sunbathe, exercise, take a sauna, wash the treated area or apply makeup for at least 24 hours following treatment. Optional Upgrade! Complement the Skin System. For this reason manufacturers advise not to insert into the skin, but to "just touch the skin's surface." Significant power is needed to coagulate vessels through the skin resulting in undesirable collateral skin damage and mixed results.
