4 Structure of the skin EPIDERMIS DERMIS HYPODERMIS To better understand how YALODÉ tablets act, it is important to know the structure of skin, which has three layers. The external layer of skin called the Epidermis, which acts as a barrier against external influences. Epidermis is a complex structure with four layers between the Base layer, the deepest one that separates the Epidermis from the Dermis and the Stratum Corneum, the most external one that interacts with the environment. 17 Silicon creates bonds with the amino acids present in the Keratin of the Epidermis and with the amino acids found in Collagen and Elastin of the Dermis. 18 RE Resveratrol Resveratrol is a polyphenol of vegetal origin and it is present in at least 72 species of plants, such as grapes, raspberries, blackberries, plums, peanuts and pomegranates. Resveratrol is a phytoalexin, i.e. a substance that plants produce to fight against environmental stress or pathogens and its main task is to protect plants (e.g. the grapes of vines) against fungal and bacterial infections, but also from environmental stress, such as UV radiations, ozone pollution and toxins.
