The polopoetics means driving a car and using its temporarily shared volume to glimpse and observe through the windows. It means sharing intimacy, reading and listening. 4 A Monster is a Teacher is a Traveler 2016, on going (l) (l) Unfired clay, Metal pedestral, Coal, Cigarette ash 30x40x45cm (ll) Ceramics, Glasure 25x30x55cm Remembering a utopian garden in the mexican Jungle, built by a british excentric in the forties. The process of remembering alters the memory once again. Memories as independently existing entities, translated into a structure, an architecture. A fragile illusion, though constantly, undenieably, eternally reshaping, reforming, recreating itself; the narcisstic Cosmos constantly reproducing itself is now sleeping blood. A ballardian image, extracted, unfired, unstable, unstatic and eternelly unfinished (l). Ready to break or grow. An external input marks not the end of a process but pushes it through another transformation. One could discuss it as finished, it does not matter though as it s appearance is still being defined. Going through another transformational step through heat a dead memory becomes classified history. Fixed and stable, an Ideological figures (ll). Once organic, turned into silently sounding dead, dry, unbreakable, agressive, oily archeological pieces. Models with walls that lead into wholes, wholes that lead into another wall built on top of the other. Hollow structures, chthonic images of memories, excavated artefacts. 18 6PM SCREENING NEAR DEATH Half an hour medidative flicker projection. An alternation of nothing and nothing / projection and non-projection / screen and wall / light and dark. A narcissistic piece, only projecting itself while simultaniously revealing itself. Bottom: Prjection of Screening Near Death at St. Lucy

20 Call me no less than the living 2016 Metal structure, concrete weight, cast concrete, elastics, dry clay, scrw nuts, ginger The structure as pure function with architectural dimensions and aspirations. The metal grid as an idea of functionality is a false claim. It is, in fact, extending this idea of functionality. Set under tension by the construction itself, the objects fight the idea of being mapped in a system, trying to overrule the grid. The black elastic, stretching under the heavy concrete weights, expands the idea of the grid as a model, resembling a three dimensional coordinate system. The third dimension is continuously expanding. Knots are reminders or explorers. The topography of the grid under tension reminds of physical illustrations of gravity. The bone like fractured hanging sculpture tries to confront the always expanding pain tortured black elastic next to it. The snake is dead and dry. Besides that, the empty hook just wants to be used, wants to be functional, wants to be part of it. While concrete is torturing the grid, concrete is floating on top. Like ponds of water, orbiting planets, or recently discovered island on the map. The secrets are not revealed, like looking at the stars, this is where the mystery, the inexblicable, the unreachable lies; above our heads. Close enough that we can guess, but too far to fully understand. We are underground, the ginger gives another hint. Ginger, the healing root. Come up, get outside of the cave! There s no hope. We find satisfaction in pain. In the end it is a layer above our heads, a prison around our bodies and tension within our believes. Within this, everything has a function. Forced or by free choice. One needs pain, one wants pain, but everyone needs ecstasies and mysteries. 28 Potatoheads 2015, on going Dimensions variable, Ceramics On going series of platonic Talisman, the Potatoheads are allies. Potatoheads indicate to the active character of a mystical Object and it s animistic existance. These figures bear within their comical appearance a spiritual endeaver.
