Ladies and gentlemen, dear partners and friends of the HIRSCH brand, The annual highlight of the international watch and jewellery industry, the renowned Baselworld trade show, was held this year from 17 to 24 March and was once again a great success despite all the gloomy predictions. 1,500 prestigious international brands presented future trends to some 150,000 enthusiastic visitors on an incredible exhibition space the size of 20 soccer fields. In this edition of our HIRSCH Newsletter we will fill you in on our impressions and experiences and tell you what we learned from many encounters and conversations with customers and watch aficionados. We also report the latest news from our company. I am very pleased to present this HIRSCH Newsletter edition focussed on our remarkable industry. From tamed Rebels to nature-loving Rangers Six new products Catalogue Supplement In addition to the HIRSCH Classic and Performance catalogues, a supplement was launched on the occasion of Baselworld that introduces five new products, additional attractive and popular models of the HIRSCH Classic range, plus a new product in the HIRSCH Performance Collection. The contemporary leather-interpretation Examples of the new models of the classic leather bracelet range are Rebel a modern interpretation of the popular Nato style that is an enduring success and Ranger, the retro version of the classic belt design, with great attention placed on decorative details. Both models appeal to traditionalists with a penchant for contemporary details. Rebel Ranger Arne Scandinavian straightforwardness In terms of highly functional material combinations, the Performance Collection, proud winner of the reddot Design Award, introduces Arne, a new model inspired by Scandinavian style. With its straight-forward, reduced design it makes every purist s heart beat faster. Arne 3
4 Brand News 01/2016 HIRSCH IN ITS FULL CREATIVITY The HIRSCH Identity Collection Not only did we present our own brand at Baselworld, we also used the trade show as a presentation and communication platform for the watch industry. As an OEM for watches we are the perfect partner for our customers. We accompany them from their first concepts for a bracelet destined to become the perfect accessory for a specific watch, to the last step of production. The HIRSCH Identity Collection demonstrates how the brand-specific design of a bracelet can guide and determine the looks, the value category and the quality perception of the watch it adorns. This product range shows, by the example of our own brand, how the targeted use of DNA components is able to create a distinct, individual form while it determines a clearly visible distinction from other market players at the same time. Jewel Two Brands One Mission Gem We began to take logical and comprehensible steps to visualise the brand identity in 2014; by 2015 we had marked out all our brand values and this year the focus is on the complete alignment of the product, the bracelet watch. Classic Calf Following the slogan two brands one mission, representative models of the collection illustrate how the balanced interaction of design elements and the targeted use of carefully aligned details merge to create a harmonious bracelet watch concept. Classic Alligator Motorsports Watersports 4 We cooperate as partners within the watch industry, combining the know-how of watchmakers and bracelet makers, the expertise, the value and quality claims of our brands to perfection.
5 DESIGNED FOR WATCHES! Since their invention in the early 20th century, watches have been on people s wrists in all the diverse moments of their lives. As the only machine worn directly on the body, the watch is closest to our skin. Yet, there are so many occasions in life when a watch is much more than a mere chronograph. For example when we engage in sport or dress to perfection to attend a formal event or an elegant evening out. A watch then not only tells the time, but it becomes a precious part of our attire demonstrating our mastery and command of style. The professionals of the watch industry are very much aware of this and know the demands and requirements of the discerning watch-wearer. This is why watch brands use various theme worlds to express their affinity to certain values and quality claims. The Creation range of our Entity Collection is dedicated to these pre-defined topics, shaping them. The attire for watches that stems from these ideas is tailored to different types of watches sports, fashion & jewellery, tradition and conveys the values of the respective brand. It enriches the appearance of the watch with very specific details.
