COMPOSITION A synergistic blend of halogenated alcohols and surfactants. MODE OF Electron microscopy shows a breakdown of the cell membrane with subsequent leakage and denaturing of the cell contents by oxidation of thiols such as glutathione and cysteine. The MIC (Minimal Inhibitory Concentration) is generally around 8ppm for gram negative and gram positive organisms. The ability of Bronocide to cleave disulphide bonds, amongst other effects explains its ability to easily neutralise micro organisms. KILL TIME With organisms of medical importance, 2 minutes contact time or less. TOXICITY Non-toxic with normal usage. MUTAGENICITY Non-mutagenic. INFECTION CONTROL CHALLENGES With the rising incidence of Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI) that are resistant to an ever increasing range of antibiotics and disinfectants, a next generation product is essential to maintain the levels of cleanliness and hygiene that has become a prerequisite in our day and age, especially considering the statistics of immuno-compromised hosts. Pathogenic micro-organisms rapidly spread outside of the hospital environment, and become a cause for great concern. The BRONOCIDETM range constitutes an effective toolbox of infection control products for dealing with the transmission of pathogenic organisms. Whilst the development of new antibiotics is needed to combat these infections in human beings, transmission of infection from the external environment needs to be addressed just as aggressively. The BRONOCIDETM range of products provides a FULL SPECTRUM disinfectant to deal with this huge problem. Bearing in mind that prevention is always better than cure! More than 20 years of testing has failed to produce any strains of micro-organisms that are resistant to BRONOCIDETM ASTERIPHARM (PTY) LTD sales@asteripharm.com Tel: 076 108 8235 / 072 542 1007 P O Box 1474, Bedfordview, 2008
