1008 E. St. Mary Blvd., Lafayette, LA 337-269-0363 info@lafayetteart.org Wed-Fri 12-5:00pm; Sat 10am-2pm DECEMBER 2018 Hello All & Happy Holidays! Our LAA Fundraiser was a great success. I would like to thank all of you for participating and contributing to the continued success of our association. If you missed the general meeting last month, then you missed hearing how well our annual fundraiser went. The Lieutenant Governor, Mr. Billy Nungesser joined us as we unveiled our beautiful LAA mural which now hangs in the Green Apple Gallery. We collected close to $7000 by the close of the evening. We are still selling t-shirts and art from the event and are also waiting on promised donation checks. If you would like to purchase any of the remaining items from the fundraiser event, all that is required is half the asking price. If you would like to come by the gallery to check them out, these items are being stored (to showcase and sell) in Studio Davinci until we have another event. Right now, we are gearing up for our Annual December Holiday Covered Dish Social on Tuesday, December 4th at 6 pm. We still need volunteers with set up before, during and afterwards! I hope that you can join us as we start the holidays and end 2018 with a time to relax and enjoy good food and conversation! Festival of Lights is on Friday, November 30th. I ll have a trunk show at The Bird s Nest, so please come by to see me! We will be electing officers for the 2019 term. Please consider taking on a position. The ballots will be sent out by email on 12/15 (with the exception of those members that do not have email). Submit your name by email to the office by 12/12 so that we can put you on the ballot.
