6 Bean Bag shape target practice Last month we introduced a new portable game for our residents which involve throwing shaped bean bags into the correct shaped net. This was thoroughly enjoyed by all and really got their joints moving.

12 Food Glorious Food Last month our residents enjoyed some cake decorating for afternoon tea Our next food themed event: 28 th February Shrove Tuesday - Pancakes Cinema afternoon One of our residents; Woody featured as an extra in the 1934 Gracie Fields film Sing as we go when she was 13 years old. We managed to get a copy of the film for Woody to watch and held a cinema afternoon with popcorn

15 In the spotlight We put Gordon in the spotlight this month [Where were you born]? Appleton Wiske it s a nice country village, I lived there for 70 years [What jobs have you had]? My first job was on a farm; general work, milking cows and I ploughed with horses. In later life I had my own haulage business called G.Hall haulage. [What can you tell me about your family]? My wife Eileen I love very much and I have two daughters Angela and Beverly [What are your hobbies?] Mainly sport, I like cricket, golf and football; I had a season ticket for Middlesbrough football club for years. I also enjoyed dancing with my wife Eileen; we did old time modern sequence dancing. We actually met at Hutton Rugby dance. [What is your favorite holiday destination?] Majorca, Scotland and South East England [What do you like about living at Leeming Bar Grange?] It s peaceful and everyone is friendly
16 A final note I enjoyed looking at January s activities as I hope you did, Looks like the residents had a good start to the year. Now that Christmas has been and gone we are looking forward to our Summer Garden party and would like to ask if anyone has any donations for our tombola, any unwanted Christmas gifts. It would all be greatly appreciated. I am pleased to say there has been a new home manager appointed called Linda Stephens who we will be welcoming on the 28 th February. We are all looking forward to working with her.
