2:00 pm 5:00 pm Specialty Class: Needles What s the Point? Cosmetic tattoo artists have the important task of selecting the perfect needle for the procedure they are about to perform. We must take into consideration the configuration, the count, the diameter size, and the taper, when making this selection. These decisions will be influenced by the canvas at hand, the technique being used, and the desired result. The needle is one of if not our most important tool. The needle dictates the footprint left behind in the skin so choosing the right needle is crucial not only to achieve the artistic result desired, but to tattoo every procedure with efficiency. Join Teryn Darling, CPCP for this in depth needle workshop. In a manner you will absorb and understand, she will guide you through the science of needles ensuring that the outcome of your procedures becomes more predictable. Teryn will have work stations set up with various machines so you not only learn the needle, you feel the needle. Once at the work stations, you will learn tattooing techniques pertaining to the magnum. Needles, eye loops, magnums and tattooing techniques - this is a class you do not want to miss out on. Special bonus = Attendees will be in an exclusive drawing to win machines! Teryn Darling, CPCP Teryn Darling, CPCP, owner of Girlz Ink in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Li Pigments Distributor, began her career in cosmetic tattooing in 2000. Three years later she expanded her interests to body art and accomplished an eighteen month apprenticeship. This is where she was taught the dying art of making needles and mastered her tattoo techniques. She is an SPCP Trainer Member, an SME, and a popular national speaker and advocate for the industry. Teryn is also an animal lover and sits on the board for the dog rescue group A Home 4 spot where she works diligently rescuing, fostering, and raising money for the nonprofit. 3:00 pm 8:00 pm Vendor Room Set-Up (Vendors Only) 5:00 pm 7:00 pm Early Registration and Check-In Saturday, April 11, 2015 - Convention Begins 8:00 am 9:00 am Continental Breakfast 8:00 am 5:00 pm Registration and Check-In 9:00 am 5:00 pm Vendor Room Open 9:00 am 5:00 pm SPCP Silent Auction The silent auction starts today and runs through 4:30 Sunday 10:00 am 4:30 pm Vendor Presentations Half-hour vendor presentations will run throughout the day. Manual Microstroking, also known as Microblading, hand method eyebrow tattoo, and Eyebrow Embroidery has become very popular in the last few years worldwide. Manual Microstroking is done by using a unique hand held instrument with a grouping or row of very fine needles that deposit pigment into the dermis with specific movements. This movement creates very crisp, fine hair strokes that don t blur after healing, which is often experienced with a traditional permanent makeup machine. Daria Chuprys, CPCP Daria is a world renowned permanent cosmetic professional, specializing in the unique Manual Eyebrow Microstroking technique. She began her journey as an eyelash extension and makeup artist in Greece in 2009.
