CHINESE AUCTION AND RAFFLES Sampson Room Friday, April 28, 2017-10:00 am - 6:00 pm Each club is asked to donate an item or collection of items to the State fundraiser. This year's theme is BEACH MEMORIES. If you didn t already pick your basket at the Mid Term Board Meeting, you can sign up for a basket by contacting Sharon Wetzel at sharkayw@yahoo.com. The value of the item or basket should be at least $25.00. Please drop off your donation as soon as you arrive on Thursday or Friday morning by 10:00 am. In this room you will also be able to purchase tickets for raffle items offered by the hosting club, which helps to cover the cost of convention. There will also be raffles for the Marie Simmons Scholarship and 2018 State Meeting fundraiser. After the Saturday General Meeting, the winning numbers will be posted and the prizes can be picked up in the Sampson Room. DOOR SIGN CONTEST Come walk along the lake where sunsets and smiles are always within reach! This year s door sign theme is: FLIP FLOP DOWN MEMORY LANE Let s take ourselves to a happy memory. This room is where our members can learn what goes on in the State Organization. Be creative; make it interesting to grab their attention. Local Clubs are invited to create a display showcasing their activities. One tri-fold display and your creativity could mean educating someone else. Please put visiting this information center on your convention agenda. On display will be the entries for the Club Scrapbook Contest along with the entries for the Newsletter Contest, previous State Meetings photo albums, the Twin Registry photo album, the Unity Book and other items of interest. FRIDAY EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING Lakeview Ballroom Friday, April 28, 2017-8:30 am - 12:00 pm Before the meeting, stop by the Pier House Restaurant for a FREE Continental Breakfast! The Board Meeting will begin promptly at 8:30 am. Attendance is required of all board Members. Bring home something for the children, Dad or Grandma and Grandpa. Clubs wishing to participate as member vendors must complete the enclosed Show and Sell contract and return it with the necessary fees. The afternoon session is scheduled to resume at 1:45 PM SHARP. To vote at the meeting, delegates and alternates MUST attend and register at the Delegate/Alternates meeting on Friday evening and be present during the AM and PM Roll Call. Delegates, Alternates and Past Presidents are asked to sit in the reserved area. This meeting is where we discuss the operation of the organization, reports are given, bylaw/standing rules are amended, elections are held and awards are presented.
