Experience Venice Biennale 2017 24-27 August 2017 Join us on this exclusive trip to Venice for its 57 th International Art Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia. Enjoy summer and art in Northern Italy and travel with other like-minded companions who share your passion for Contemporary Sculpture! The Venice Biennale is considered one of the most important and prestigious events on the international contemporary arts calendar. It s the oldest, largest and best-established biennale in the world, a must-see that has been taking place once every two years in Venice, since 1895. This trip offers specially designed guided tours with a focus on three-dimensional art by Biennale experts, where interaction and exchanges are encouraged. Plus exclusive visits to the Venetian Palazzi to get to know the artists and the makers of three collateral exhibitions. It is a learning experience as much as a pleasure trip. The group will be led by two local Cultural managers who will give us some behind the scenes views on the difficulties of organizing art events in such a unique city. Staying in the heart of the city in a quiet hotel and eating at local restaurants, makes for a truly Venetian experience, with free time to wander at leisure and take it all in.

Details: VIVA ARTE VIVA - 57 th International Art Exhibition The Exhibition is curated by Christine Macel - Chief Curator at the Musée national d art moderne Centre Pompidou in Paris. VIVA ARTE VIVA is an exclamation, a passionate outcry for art and the state of the artist. VIVA ARTE VIVA is a Biennale designed with artists, by artists and for artists, about the forms they propose, the questions they ask, the practices they develop and the ways of life they choose. Rather than broaching a single theme, VIVA ARTE VIVA offers a route that moulds the artists works and a context that favours access and understanding, generating connections, resonance and thoughts. 120 are the invited artists from 51 countries; 103 of these are participating for the first time. www.labiennale.org Arsenale: The Venetian Arsenal was Venice s former shipyard and armoury. It was the World s largest pre-industrial production centre. Its 50.000 square meters are the core site of the Biennale s activities. The main and live performances take place here. Giardini: The gardens on the east side of Venice have been the Biennale s traditional venue since 1895. The Central Pavilion and another 29 national pavilions, built in various periods, are sited here. Personal Structures Personal Structures is a project aimed at introducing in writing, pictures and in exhibitions, a number of international artists whom, for all their individuality, have much in common concerning their intentions. The observation that even in the most distant corners of the world and independent of one another, closely related artistic problems are being worked on, led to the idea of bringing several of these artists together. The goal is to start a communication with and among the artists, and to offer them a forum. Personal Structures is held during the Venice Biennale 2017 at the European Cultural Centre situated in four Venetian Palazzi in the city centre and is organized by the GAA Foundation, a non-profit organisation that aims to heighten the awareness about the more philosophical themes in contemporary art and to make these subjects more accessible to a wider international audience. www.personalstructures.org Palazzo Bembo: Palazzo Bembo is located on the Canal Grande, a few steps away from the Rialto bridge. It was built by the noble family of Bembo in the 15th century. Today, after years of neglect, Palazzo Bembo is finding back to its original atmosphere and becoming the home again of the arts, culture and education. Palazzo Mora: Palazzo Mora is an ancient building situated in Sestier Cannaregio, between the San Felice Church and Canal di Noal. In one of the room at the first floor of Palazzo Mora there is an important and suggestible 18th century fresco. 3
