Glimpses of 2016-2017 Pongal Vizha was celebrated on 11.01.2017 in which our department bagged the first prize in our college Two Days Hands on Training on TUKA CAD and STUDIO for Faculty Members was organized from 07.11.2016 to 08.11.2016 by Mr.Sathiyaraj, Tuka Center, Erode. First and third year UG students were taken to Precision Knitters, Kodumudi and Five star Detergents Ellapalayam, Erode on 07.01.2017 to gain practical exposure on knitting and soap manufacturing. The Department of Costume Design and Fashion conducted Skill Based Extension Activity - Accessories Making for Government School Students at Nanjanapuram, Erode from 02.02.2017 to 03.02.2017. The students were given free kits and were exposed to the art of fashion jewellery making. Two Days special Hands on Training Programme on Adobe Illustrator was organized for Final year UG students on 30.01.2017 and 31.01.2017 by Ms.R.J.Yasmeen, Faculty, Area Animation, Erode. Workshop on Usha Sewing Machines for final year UG students was organised on 10.01.2017 by Mr.S.Balaji, Senior Sales Officer, Usha International Ltd, Coimbatore. Ms.A.J.Minnu faculty from Dream Zone, Erode imparted an Awareness Programme on Adobe Illustrator for second year UG students on 28.01.2017.
