ELEONORA PIPPO / Bio (Pordenone 1976) Italian theatre director active since the early noughties, focuses her work on the staging of comic books. She merges cartoon temperature, music and theater in a hybrid that retains traces of the original languages by creating something autonomous, an imperfect musical self-defined by the director "musical lo-fi". The stage space is almost empty, the music is performed by the interpreters with a few acoustic instruments, there are no microphones, the lights are always switched on artists and spectators attending the representation surrounding the action. Lo-fi, as a condition of existence of discourse, a need to say that is before the care package that prefers and seeks empathic relationship between performers and spectators. Eleonora Pippo shows in her work experiences and training in classical theater with the great Italian masters ( School of Teatro Stabile di Torino ), and in the international contemporary ( ViaNegativa Company, Thomas Ostermeier, Agrupación Señor Serrano, Richard Maxwell/New York City Players ), focusing on the issues and the feelings of adolescence as a metaphor of every individual's evolutionary process. The lo-fi musical project began in 2014 with the staging of Five Happy Dead Boys, the horror-romantic comic saga by Davide Toffolo with the Tre allegri ragazzi morti songs ( Three Happy Dead Boys ), the famous Italian indie band wearing skull masks. Five Happy Dead Boys conquered in a short time the most prestigious Italian stages, from its debut to date were presented three episodes: The alternative (2014), The Feast of the Dead (2015) and #tuttonuovo (2016). Passionate about gardening, psychoanalysis and make-up tutorials, no cats living in Rome. She won the Scintille Prize in Asti Theater Festival (2010) with How was that in Italy the revolution broke out, but no one noticed by Davide Carnevali (Riccione Prize) and in 2012 she founded the company Pubblico Teatro and won the invitation of artistic residence at Theatre Spaziooff of Trento with the collective performance Save your wish. For the exhibition In Altre Parole 2013 (In Other Words 2013) she directed the mise en espace of Marburg by Catalan Guillem Clua which was presented to the Hall Squarzina in the Teatro Argentina in Rome. In 2017/2018 Eleonora Pippo will present The girls are losing control. The society is concerned. The end is blue. from the teen drama by Ratigher (Micheluzzi Prize in 2015 for Best Comics to Napoli Comicon) for performers under 15 year old.

In the most positive that we can give the adjective shocking: a text that deliberately ignores the traditional communicative grammar between actor and spectator. Two hostesses welcome the public entrance, and since then nothing of what will happen belongs to the theater as we have known (or rather, as he is made known): chairs scattered in the middle of the room, and the two hostesses involving unfortunate spectators in an original reflection on culture of consumerism. A very special experiment. From the interview by Francesco Mattana with Eleonora & Elena http://www.milanomilano.eu Maurizio Strano A sentence. My coffin was open. I made an ass of myself. Because!. Because it faces the matter with an inventiveness out of every logic and from every scheme, using with good intentions the same weapons of the enemy: an effective communication. PRESS REVIEW

2011 HOW IT WAS THAT IN ITALY THE REVOLUTION BROKE OUT BUT NO ONE NOTICED (Satire political fiction) by Davide Carnevali directed by Eleonora Pippo Winner show of the Scintille Prize '10 in ASTI THEATRE FESTIVAL 32 IV Borrello Prize to the new playwriting 2011 Production: Calibro2 / Eleonora Pippo Il Mulino di Amleto Asti Teatro Festival Venues: Festival ASTI TEATRO 32 (AT), Teatro Baretti (TO), Teatro Quirinetta (RM) e tournée. PHOTOS VIDEO PROMO: http://youtu.be/oedqotyqsy0 In a future Italy in 2161 it tells of a past very similar to the eternal condition of immobility in which this country is immersed. Many whisper that things did not always go well. Through an imaginary thesis, an imaginary students argues that in Italy occurred a revolution. but that has been forgotten or passed over in silence. Following the theme of an uncomfortable thesis on stage various guests report their testimony through memories, stories, newspaper clippings, video clips and documents from the period. How did it happen that an event as big as a revolution has gone unnoticed? It would be impossible in any country in the world. But not in Italy, a country where - according to the theory - it does not matter so much what happens, but how it is told. If it is true that the language creates the world, the manipulation of language allows then to create another reality. Where everything can be made to pass for true or false. Just know how to talk about it. " The text has been made very well by the young director Eleonora Pippo, who has come up with a barrage of inventions excellently interpreted by young actors" THE PRESS, March 1, 2011 "A climate of Far West, a group of 'mercenaries' actors... directed by Eleonora Pippo, they show very good in the company, taking the attention with pace and craft a stage... absolutely guessed. A good sign of vitality from the Italian theater. "- THE JOURNAL OF ASTI, February 2011 "... polished and fun work that enchants with continuous pearls" - DIARIO24NOTIZIE.COM, Open
