Signed underfoot in underglaze blue with a 6-character mark denoting Qing Dynasty, Kangxi reign. Bright overglaze raised enamel decoration of flowers leaves and vines. The interior with a similar motif surrounded by a double blue band with interior gilt enamel ring. Geometric motif on the exterior border with gilt decorated edge. Measures 6.5" in diameter and 2-7/8" high Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Round Box A Chinese porcelain lidded round box. Famille rose enamel decoration depicting urns, flowers and precious objects. The painting of the gentleman is purported to be the father of Eliza Nutting. The female sitter; the mother of Eliza. Each of the paintings have been laid down on board. On the verso of the male sitter, the Consignor has noted the following: "On back of canvas: H. Bundy, Painter, Newport the father of Eliza Nutting". "On the back of the painting (canvas) of Eliza is written H. Bundy, Painter, Claremont, 1849". "Eliza Nutting was the first wife of Calvin Loveland, who was later the fourth husband of Hannah Sophia Randall Woodward Hammond".
