3 PURIFYING MEDIFACIAL A customised facial treatment designed to target oily, congested and acne prone skin. This deep cleansing and skin purifying treatment comprises a thorough double cleanse followed by a gentle exfoliation using corundum crystals. Extractions may then be performed if require, prior to application of a custom-made pore refining and clarifying mineral/antioxidant mask. Upon removal of the Purifying Mineral Mask, the treatment is completed with application of alpha and beta hydroxy acids followed by zinc oxide to calm, heal and protect the skin from damaging solar exposure. + An alternate treatment option embracing the deeply hydrating, calming and infusing properties of the BioAlginate mask is also provided. Turn on steamer and face away from client for safety. 2. In cases of visible acne lesions, please use gloves during treatment. 3. Apply one pump of UltraCleanse to dampened palms and massage to form a light lather spreading evenly over the face. Use two pieces of dampened gauze and cleanse firmly using circular motions. Remove with warm water and fibrella. 4. Apply MediScrub (approximate size of a thumbnail) onto dampened fingertips. Spread evenly over the face avoiding the delicate eye area. Massage the scrub for one minute using circular motions concentrating on congested areas. Remove with warm water and fibrella. 5. Perform a second cleanse as per step 3. This will remove any traces of scrub crystals to ensure skin is completely clean. 6. Dampen one piece of gauze with PrepAre and thoroughly wipe over area to be treated to remove any traces of surface oil and impurities. Follow steps 1 15 as above 16. Mix 6 scoops of BioAlginate Mask with 135 ml of tepid water and stir briskly to the consistency of yoghurt. Continue mixing until completely smooth. Work quickly as the BioAlginate Mask will set in approximately 5 minutes. 17. Apply to face using a plastic spatula. Clients who are not claustrophobic may have eyes and mouth covered for a targeted firming infusion treatment. Never cover over the external opening of the nose. Allow to set completely for a full 20 minutes. Do not attempt to remove before this time as the mask may adhere to lashes and brows if not completely set. If covering eye and mouth areas, please remain with client and perform a hand or scalp massage. 18. Remove mask in one piece by first loosening around the edges and gently peeling away from the top down. 19. Use a warm towel to remove any residual BioAlginate mask. Commence facial steaming for five minutes. *During this time an optional scalp massage may be performed or alternatively a hand massage using B-JuvEnate. 20. Blend to the consistency of yoghurt. 9. Remove steamer. Steamer Mask Brush 12. Apply Purifying Mineral Mask with a mask brush, avoiding eye area. Allow mask to set for minutes. Bowl of warm water 13. Remove cotton pads from eyes. Headband Bowl for mixing BioAlginate mask (optional upgrade) Plastic spatula for applying BioAlginate mask 14. Remove Purifying Mineral Mask by firstly re-emulsifying with dampened fingertips. Follow with gentle removal using fibrella and tepid water. Warm towels may then be used to ensure no traces of the mask remain. 15. Apply one pump of AHA/BHA Serum evenly over face, avoiding eye area. 16. 5 CELLULAR REPAIR MEDIFACIAL A nourishing and hydrating treatment to replenish water and oil content for dehydrated and lipid dry skin. This hydrating and restoring medifacial commences with a thorough double cleanse followed by a gentle exfoliation using corundum crystals. Stabilised retinol and niacinamide are massaged into the skin to increase ceramide production, rebuild the skin s barrier proteins and optimise cellular processes. Apply MediScrub (approximate size of a thumbnail) onto dampened fingertips. Spread evenly over the face avoiding the delicate eye area. Massage the scrub for one minute using gentle circular motions concentrating on dry and congested areas. Be particularly gentle with dry flaking areas. Remove with warm water and fibrella. 4. Perform a second cleanse as per step 2. This will remove any traces of scrub crystals to ensure skin is completely clean. 5. Dampen one piece of gauze with PrepAre and thoroughly wipe over area to be treated to remove any traces of surface oil and impurities. 6. Commence facial steaming for five minutes. *During this time an optional scalp massage may be performed or alternatively a hand massage using B-JuvEnate. 7. Remove steamer. 8. Apply Eye Pro+ to eye area and massage gently. 9. Apply one pump of A Pro+ evenly over face and massage until fully absorbed. 10. Apply one pump of B Pro + evenly over face and massage until fully absorbed 11. Apply Repair+Restore Mask with a mask brush, avoiding eye area. 12. Combine 6 scoops of BioAlginate Mask with 135 ml of tepid water in a bowl. Stir briskly until completely smooth. Work quickly as the BioAlginate Mask will set in approximately 5 minutes. 13. Apply BioAlginate mask to face using a plastic spatula. Clients who are not claustrophobic may choose to have eyes and mouth covered for a targeted hydrating infusion treatment of these areas. Never cover over the external opening of the nose. Allow to set completely for a full 20 minutes. Do not attempt to remove before this time as the mask may adhere to lashes and brows if not completely set. If covering eye and mouth areas, please remain with client and perform a hand or scalp massage. ALTERNATE PROTOCOL FOR (ADDITIONAL 15 MINS): Extended intensive oil massage of the face, neck and décolletage. Follow steps 1 15 as above. 16. Apply two pumps of De Stress to palms and warm by massaging palms lightly together. Hold hands approximately 3cm over face and request the client take deep breaths to experience the calming aromatherapy of the anti-inflammatory botanical extracts. 17. Massage into face, neck and décolletage using effleurage movements until completely absorbed. Additional pumps of De Stress may be used as needed to extend the facial, neck and décolletage massage to include the arms and hands. Massage for up to 10 minutes. Apply gentle pressure to the temples. 18. Gently blot away any excess De Stress with a warm towel. 19. Explain treatment to client and ensure they provide a signed consent form. 2. Turn steamer on and face away from client for safety. 3. Apply one pump of UltraCleanse to dampened palms and massage to form a light lather spreading evenly over the face. Use two pieces of dampened gauze and cleanse firmly using circular motions. Remove with warm water and fibrella. 4. Apply MediScrub (approximate size of a thumbnail) onto dampened fingertips. Spread evenly over the face avoiding the delicate eye area. Customise your ionised blend to your client s needs by selecting from the below skin concerns. Continue steaming face throughout the procedure. (This creates a fine layer of water on skin and assist with conducting the current). 11. Place negative electrode (rod wrapped in moist fibrella) in client s hand (ensure no metal is in contact with client s skin). It is recommended to place a towel under the client s hand containing the electrode to ensure no moisture spreads to client s clothing. 12. Make contact with the client s skin by rolling the positive electrode gently on the forehead. 13. Whilst rolling the electrode, turn the machine on and then start to increase the intensity of the charge whilst checking the client is comfortable. Aim for maximum current intensity whilst maintaining client comfort. Do not lose contact with the client s face by lifting the electrode. The client may feel a tingling sensation and/or have a metallic taste in their mouth. This is normal, however, if the client indicates pain or pronounced discomfort please discontinue the treatment. 14. Continue to roll the entire face and neck slowly for minutes in total. 15. Upon completion of rolling the entire face area, ensure contact is maintained whilst slowly turning the intensity dial back down to zero charge. Then switch the power off on the machine and remove the electrode from the face. 16. Turn off steamer. 17. Remove the negative electrode from the client s hand. 18. If skin is flushed, gently massage a pea sized amount of DermaCalm evenly over face. 19. Massage a pea sized amount of ÜberZinc evenly over face. 20. Apply Synergie Minerals Second Skin Crush Loose Minerals foundation for sun protection. ALTERNATE PROTOCOL FOR (ADDITIONAL 1 MINS): Double Infusion therapy using Bio-Alginate Mask Follow steps 1 9 as above. 10. Mix 6 scoops of BioAlginate Mask with 135 ml of tepid water with a plastic spatula and stir briskly to the consistency of yoghurt. Continue mixing until completely smooth. Work quickly as the BioAlginate Mask will set in approximately 5 minutes. 11. Apply to face using a plastic spatula. Clients who are not claustrophobic may have eyes and mouth covered for a targeted firming infusion treatment. Never cover over the external opening of the nose. 12. Allow to set until the mask surface is firm to touch. Then cover with thoroughly dampened fibrella, remembering to keep the nose area unobstructed. 13. Continue steaming face throughout the procedure. (This creates a fine layer of water and assists to conduct the current). 14. Place negative electrode (rod wrapped in moist fibrella) in client s hand (ensure no metal is in contact with client s skin). It is recommended to place a towel under the client s hand containing the electrode to ensure no moisture spreads to client s clothing. 15. Commence rolling over the dampened fibrella with the galvanic roller, focusing on areas of concern. Infuse for 20 minutes. (Please remember to check for any contraindications to galvanic current and gain signed consent prior to commencing treatment). 13. Remove mask in one piece by first loosening around the edges and gently peeling away from the top down.
