Whether for peasure, heath and weness benefits, our training saons can offer you the best. Students are trained to industry standards and are supervised cosey throughout your visit. Our unique Saons and Spa The Spa consists of beauty saons, sports therapy/injury cinics, hairdressing saons and spa area, consisting of a Jacuzzi, Steam room, Sauna and Dry foatation room. There are aso changing and shower faciities avaiabe for our visitors. Treatments range from a basic manicure, facias, make-up appication, to Spa body wraps and eectrica body treatments. We aso offer a variety of hairdressing and hair care options, ranging from bow-dry s, cuts, coours and coour correction. Opening hours We endeavour to offer treatments and services to suit your needs with casses being offered in the evenings (subject to avaiabiity) as we as throughout the day. Keep in mind that The Spa is cosed on Bank Hoidays, during the Christmas/Easter period and the summer months (Juy/August). Our cients can book up to 2 weeks in advance for their treatments. 1

4 Beauty Our commercia suites offer high quaity treatments using award winning brands such as Dermaogica for our facia and body treatments and Naitiques for our manicure and pedicure treatments. Our trainee students wi compete a consutation before your treatment so they can perform a treatment individuay suited to you. Foowing your treatment you wi be given a prescription for products recommended for your skin type. 5 Hairdressing Our commercia saons offer various hairdressing treatments using Schwarzkopf and Keracare. Our trainee students ove a chaenge of a tota new restye or a compete coour change and are more than happy to offer you a thorough consutation to get your desired resut. Retai products are on sae at Spa Reception for our reguar cients to maintain beautifu ooking hair in their own home. Visitors are asked simpy to remember that as the students are in a training environment, some treatments and services may take onger. During your treatment, students may be under assessment which may invove extra time, so your patience is greaty appreciated. 4

6 Contra Indications to treatments within The Spa Very occasionay you may have a medica condition that coud prevent you from having the treatment of your choice. The foowing treatments require you to have a doctor s note consenting you to treatments within The Spa. 7 Spa Etiquette In order to make your visit a peasant one we ask you to observe the foowing requests: Pease arrive 10 minutes before your beauty treatments. You wi be requested to compete a medica consutation form For body and spa treatments, pease remove a jeweery before commencing treatments. This must be kept in the cient s possession. Enveopes are provided by Spa Reception or avaiabe in the Beauty suites Pease do not bring overcoats/umbreas into the saons Chidren are not permitted to enter the hair saons/beauty saons or cinics and must not be eft unattended in Spa Reception If your treatment invoves the heat and wet area or dry fotation tank pease bring aong appropriate swimwear If you have any particuar injury or physica condition, expain to the therapist or hairdresser. He or she can suggest an aternative or adjustments to the treatment for your comfort For some Beauty/Spa/Hair treatments a patch test is required 48 hours in advance of the service being carried out Discounted retai products are avaiabe for our cients to buy. 12 Facia menu Dermaogica Skincare Facia Treatment This facia incudes skin anaysis, ceansing, exfoiation, massage, mask, tone and moisturise. Products for home care use wi be recommended by your therapist. Approximate duration of treatment is 1hour Dermaogica Eectrotherapy Facia An advanced facia specificay designed for each individua skin condition. Eectrotherapy wi be incorporated into the facia according to a cient s skin type and requirements. Recommendation of products for home care use wi be given. 16 Injury Cinic The University s popuar sports therapy cinics provide affordabe sports therapy services in a student-ed environment cosey supervised by our sports therapy ecturing team. Our BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy students offer a variety of services and are trained to assess and treat patients presenting with muscuoskeeta injuries caused either through participation in sport or the rigours of everyday ife. There is a wide range of patient types who attend the cinic incuding professiona athetes, university-eve athetes and the genera pubic. Sports Therapy services incude: Massage Eectrotherapy Mobiisations/manua therapy Exercise prescription Rehabiitation programmes Injury prevention strategies The University has two sports therapy cinics, each with a fu range of professiona equipment incuding utra-sound/eectrotherapy equipment and a rehabiitation area incuding use of a fuy equipped gym. The cinic is open to members of the pubic as we as students and staff at UCB. The Sports Therapy Department offers sports therapy and strength and conditioning support to Student Guid sports teams. Sports therapy support in the form of injury assessment, treatment and rehabiitation services at training, matches and at the University's sports injury cinic, is provided. Strength and conditioning support is in the form of pre-season screening and fitness testing, individua and team programming, and specific strength and conditioning coaching sessions.
