FIRST AID MEASURES Description of first aid measures Inhalation: If inhaled, remove to fresh air and keep person warm and at rest and under observation. If unconscious, loosen tight clothing and place the person in recovery position. If breathing is irregular or stopped, give artificial respiration. Give nothing to eat or drink. Call an ambulance. Eyes: Flush immediately eyes with plenty of water. Remove contact lenses and continue flushing for at least 15 minutes, lifting the eye lids. Contact a doctor. Skin: Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing and wash again. When injury or irritation of the skin, seek medical attention. Ingestion: Rinse mouth and drink at least two glasses of water. If you feel unwell seek medical advice immediately and show the MSDS or label on the product. Induce vomiting only if person is conscious and the doctor recommends it. By vomiting lowering the head so vomiting does not run back into the respiratory tract. Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed The product contains a solvent, which by contact causes skin irritation. Repeated exposure can result in degreasing the skin. Contact causes severe eye irritation, which can result in burning, redness and 2/7

3 tearing. The solvent can affect the nervous system and cause symptoms as intoxication, headaches, dizziness, nausea and vomiting. Prolonged exposure may cause tingling feeling in the skin, seizures, difficulty concentrating, fatigue, etc. Exposure to component solvents can harm the unborn child. The effect of the child may be; death, malformations, developmental delay or functional disorders. Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed Medical care must be ordered if: Continued irritation to eyes and skin. If the person after inhalation has symptoms as intoxication, headaches, dizziness, nausea and vomiting. If discomfort after ingestion. Eye Wash and drinking water should be available at the workplace. 5. FIREFIGTHING MEASURES Extinguishing Media Carbon dioxide, dry powder, foam, alcohol-resistant foam and water spray. Unsuitable extinguishing media: Powerful water jets which can spread small fires. Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture Solvent vapors may form explosive mixtures with air. Hazardous Combustion Products: Toxic, nitrous gases (NOx), carbon monoxide (CO) and traces of hydrogen chloride are formed in a fire. Advice for firefighters In case of fire, container should be removed or cooled with water, if possible. Fire fighters should wear full-face, self-contained breathing apparatus and impervious protective clothing. Fire fighters should avoid inhaling any combustion products. Recommendations: Do not allow run-off from fire fighting to enter drains or water courses. 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures Precautions: Keep the product away from heat and ignition sources. Ensure adequate ventilation. Personal protection: Avoid contact with skin and eyes, wear gloves and safety glasses and protective clothing. Do not breathe gas / fumes / vapor / spray, using respirators. (See section 8). Environmental precautions Environmental protection: By accident stop the leak and. Releases to sewer, waterway or ground are forbidden. If the product contaminates lakes, rivers, sewers or drains, inform appropriate authorities in accordance with local regulations. Methods and material for containment and cleaning up Purification Methods: Absorb larger spills with a non-combustible absorbent material, e.g. vermiculite, sand, earth or granules, which are then removed mechanically and collected in containers to be disposed of according to official regulations. 4 7. HANDLING AND STORAGE Precautions for safe handling Avoid skin and eye contact. Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid ignition sources, static electricity and sparking. Smoking, eating and drinking are not allowed in the workspace. Wash hands after handling. Personal protective equipments (see section 8). Chemical safety rapport is not prepared for the product.
