Following last year s successful launch of DESOLVE Camouflage, we now introduce another exciting new product. This year we take on one of the world s toughest climates by adding a brand new protective membrane to our range. NEONORDIC Hunting Technology is a material concept designed for experiences close to nature in demanding and changeable climates. We have been hunting in tough Scandinavian conditions for many years and are well aware of the challenges faced. NEONORDIC Hunting Technology meets these challenges. By offering high functionality, exceptional breathability, outstanding comfort and ease of movement, we further enhance the hunting experience. In 2018 we will also expand our range with two new hunting concepts. The Heritage Collection takes us back to our hunting heritage with traditional, stylish design in a modern guise. With the Safari Collection, we step further afield into new hunting grounds in southern latitudes which pose their own unique challenges. Last but not least, we will continue to develop DESOLVE Camouflage, which will be added to our women s range in We will continue to be the exclusive European supplier of DESOLVE Camouflage in We are constantly developing, broadening and assuring the quality of our products to give you the best possible hunting experience. 3 NEONORDIC Hunting Technology We re now taking on one of the world s toughest climates. Anyone who has hunted in Scandinavia will be aware of the unique challenges posed by the climate here. The weather varies widely during the year, with four unique seasons that each offer specific challenges. The weather and temperature can also fluctuate rapidly; for instance a bitterly cold autumn day can quickly turn sunny and warm. That s why in addition to protecting you from extreme weather, your hunting equipment must also be light, flexible and breathable when temperatures change. With Sweden and Scandinavia as our base, Swedteam has long experience of hunting in a changeable climate. This is our workplace, and we derive much of our inspiration from the forests in Länghem. Based on our experience of this environment, we set out to develop a revolutionary membrane designed for one of the world s toughest climates. The result is NEONORDIC Hunting Technology a Nordic material concept with the hunter in focus. Silent and lightweight with exceptional flexibility. NEONORDIC -membrane breathable, waterproof and windproof 3. Lining What is NEONORDIC? NEONORDIC is a protective membrane of Nordic quality, inspired by the Nordic climate where functionality is of the essence. Besides protecting against wind and water, garments must also deliver high comfort and freedom of movement. Traditionally, it has been difficult to combine high protection with excellent breathability. With NEONORDIC, we aimed to change this. How does it work? The NEONORDIC membrane contains microscopic pores that are more than a thousand times smaller than a drop of water but hundreds of times larger than a steam molecule. This prevents rain from penetrating the membrane from outside, while allowing steam released from your body in the form of sweat and moisture to evaporate into the outside air. Where and how is the material made? To assure the high quality of the membrane, we collaborate closely with the manufacturers and carefully monitor production. The material is produced in a certified factory in South Korea, which has collaborated closely with Swedteam over testing and development to create the ultimate material. The garments are manufactured in the high-tech city of Nanjing in China, by a partner highly experienced in producing garments for the Scandinavian climate to suit Scandinavian needs and sizing requirements. What are the benefits for the user? NEONORDIC is a material developed for real hunting situations in all weather conditions. In addition to high protection, we aimed to develop a membrane that offered ample freedom of movement. With a special focus on comfort and breathability, we have engineered a light, silent, soft and exceptionally hardwearing membrane of premium quality. NEONORDIC 200 products have a water column of 20,000 mm, which is far above the minimum level required in order for a fabric to be considered waterproof. This means the fabric protects you from water and wind but allows moisture to evaporate, so that you stay dry and comfortable. NEONORDIC is exceptionally flexible as well as hardwearing. This makes it ideal for a wide range of garments, whether they need to be light and thin or strong and rugged. Various tests are carried out to ensure the membrane meets our preferred standards. Among other hings, we test breathability, UV resistance, wear resistance and water resistance. 6 7

8 News More news Innovation, tradition and southern latitudes this year s new products offer practically everything. Here you can see some of the new products that we look forward to wearing in Heritage Collection DESOLVE Camouflage for women For recreational hunting and weekends. The Heritage Collection takes us back to our hunting heritage. A classic range of garments with a modern twist and carefully designed details. Our revolutionary DESOLVE Camouflage products are now available for women. The first product to be added to our women s range is the Desolve Veil, which can be combined with accessories, bags etc. from our main collection. Check out DESOLVE for women on page 55. Dressing right To get the most out of your garments, it s important to use them correctly. Whatever the season we always recommend the layeron-layer principle. To make it easier for you we ve divided all our garments into three layers. Layer 1 is worn nearest to your skin, so these garments are made of synthetic materials or wool for maximum breathability and moisture wicking capacity. Layer 2 is a thermal intermediate layer. These garments are made of wool and synthetic materials for optimal breathability. Layer 3 is the outermost layer, protecting you from external factors such as wind and rain. To keep you warm and dry, your hunting garments should be complemented with suitable accessories. Your feet and head are especially vulnerable. Good socks and headwear can make an enormous difference to your ability to keep warm. Pro/Classic Are you an active hunter with high focus on mobility, or do you want a more classic style? Now we ve made it even easier to find the right clothes by dividing most of our range into two categories, Pro and Classic. The Pro category has garments with a focus on flexibility, ventilation and a sportier appearance. The jackets are slightly shorter than the Classic jackets, and the products are designed for more active hunting. The Classic category is for wearers who want a traditional style with slightly wider fit and longer jackets. 41 Information Information Washing and care instructions So that your garments will work well for a long time, it is important to take care of them properly. Here we have prepared information about washing and care instructions applicable to each material. Many garments have a mixture of different materials, so it is always best to follow the washing and care instructions found on the inside of the garments. We recommend that you never use fabric softener when washing clothes it s better for both the function of these garments and also for the environment. Garments reinforced with membrane (NEONORDIC, COVERTEX ETC.) 1. Wash your garments regularly If sweat and dirt collect on your garment, the pores in the membrane will become clogged, reducing the garment s breathability. For this reason, garments should be washed frequently to keep the membrane functioning optimally. Use fragrance-free washing detergent specially designed for breathable clothing and avoid using fabric conditioner, which clogs the garment s pores. Fasten zips and velcro and undo elastic cords before washing. If possible, do not spin after washing. FLEECE When washing fleece, the recommendation is to wash your garment inside out to keep it in excellent condition for as long as possible. Follow the washing instructions. BAMBU Bamboo is naturally antibacterial and odourinhibiting and therefore it does not need to be washed after each use. It can easily be used 2 or 3 times before washing. However, we recommend that you air the garment after each use. The garment cannot be dried in the tumble dryer. Follow the washing instructions. WOOL To extend the life of your woollen garment special detergent should be used when washing. Follow the washing instructions and hand wash garments which are not labelled with Superwash or washing machine. Wool fibre repels dirt. It can be used 3 or 4 times before washing, but it is important that you vent the garment following use. COTTON Cotton garments are wash-resistant and durable. You can iron them while they are still damp to get the best result. POLYESTER Polyester is the material used mostly in functional garments. A durable material used in most of the outer fabric and the lining in our garments. Wash at 40 C and waterproof as needed. ELASTANE It can also be called as spandex or lycra. With elastane, it is important to follow the washing instructions carefully. If garments with elastane are exposed to higher temperatures than specified the elastane fibres begin to breakdown and the garment can lose its elasticity. Even fabric softener can damage the threads and make them relax so that the garment will lose its elasticity. POLYAMID/NYLON Polyamide often occurs under the name nylon which is the trade name for polyamide. It is an elastic, durable and quick-drying material that does not crease. It cannot be tumble dried and should not be dried in direct sunlight. Wash at 40 C and waterproof as needed. LEATHER Leather is a durable and pliable material that with correct management becomes more beautiful with time. It is recommended that you clean your leather products at least once a year. This can be done with a damp cloth and a mild soap. Then wipe with a clean damp cloth. After cleaning, it is important to hydrate the leather with oil, which is applied with a lint-free cloth on a clean surface. Let the oil sink in for a couple of hours and then wipe away the excess fat. Avoid keeping your leather products in direct sunlight, as this both bleaches and dries them out. 2. Tumble dry to restore function After washing, tumble dry the garments on a gentle programme. This restores the material s waterproof function. If you haven t got a tumble dryer, you can heat the garment with a hairdryer after the material has dried. 3. Waterproofing A garment s outer fabric must be dry in order for the clothing to be breathable. For this reason, garments containing membrane are often treated on the outside with a waterproof coating that degrades with use. If the garment s outer fabric absorbs water, an airtight seal forms around the body and the fabric cannot breathe. This is why it is crucial to waterproof your clothing. Use a waterproofing product designed for breathable garments. MACHINE WASH May be machine-washed at the given temperature. Washing machine to be half-full. Spin for no more than one minute. Spin for no more than 30 seconds in a separate spin drier. A line under the tub means wash with extra care. HAND WASH Hand wash only at max 40º C. Ensure that washing agent is dissolved before immersing garment. Do not soak or allow to lie in water; coloured garments may run. Do not rub or wring garment. This symbol mean that the garment is not suitable for washing with water. IRONING The iron symbol means that the garment may be ironed. The dots inside the iron indicate ironing temperatures: One dot no higher than 110º C; two dots no higher than 150º C. The crossed symbol means do not iron. BLEACHING Means that the garment cannot be bleached. DRY CLEANING The symbol means that the garment must be dry cleaned. The different letters denote the type of dry-cleaning. The crossed symbol means do not dry clean. DRYING Most garments tolerate one minute s spin drying. Some garments may also be tumble dried, as indicated by this symbol. Garments made of, or containing, wool must never be tumble dried. The crossed symbol means do not tumble dry. These drying symbols may also occur. From left to right: Hang dry, drip dry and dry flat.
