Abrasion has been tested with the Wyzenbeek method using either cotton duck (C) or wire screen as the abradant. ACT guidelines require at least 30,000 Wyzenbeek double rubs for woven upholsteries or 50,000 Wyzenbeek double rubs for coated upholsteries in heavy duty single-shift application. Multiple factors affect fabric durability and appearance retention, including end-user application and proper maintenance.
