If you like the round look...grow your nail out square to the tip of your finger/skin, then round the corners. 3. Keep your nails polished...we tend to look at our nails more when they are groomed & colored! This helps you see any chips that may occur quickly. Take care of it right away! 4. Use cuticle oil & lotion to keep cuticles & hands soft. This will prevent hang nails from happening. The healthier your cuticles are, the healthier your nails will be. 5. Polished nails help you become more aware of your hands and helps make chips easier to spot, so that you can make immediate repairs. 7. DEHYDRATE your nails before polishing! Do this by cleaning the nail bed thoroughly

3 with an Acetone polish remover. 8. Use a professional Base AND Top coat. Base coat is important; it does two things 1. It dries tacky and helps polish adhere better to the nails 2. It keeps your polish from yellowing your nails. 9. Use a ridge filler to fill in rough spots or ridges on nails. This makes a nicer polish application! 10. Use Q-tips dipped in Acetone to clean up any polish on the skin. 11. Professional manicures are recommended at least once a month during your nail growth. More often is recommended for those that need extra support, encouragement or would just like a professional weekly polish change. 12. If you are a smoker OR your nails are yellow for whatever reason, try a Nail Whitener manicure. This can make your nails tips a natural white again. Ask details. 13. Protect your nails from damage: JEWELS NOT TOOLS! :) Don't use your nails as tools. Rather than using your nails, use other parts of your hand or an implement to perform tasks like scraping or fastening things. 14.
