The main ingredient in our luxury products is organic whey, which from an environmental and sustainable point of view is fantas c, because no soil or machines are needed to produce it and as it is

Whey is rich in vitamins, proteins and minerals. The plants used are all organic and ancient herbs of beauty from the Danish flora. We use green surfactants based on easily renewable sources like corn, potatoes and wheat. In line with our philosophy of protec ng the environment our company is powered solely by energy from wind mills. All packaging components are recyclable. Unique Products is winner of Best of Cosmoprof Green Prize.

Organic farming is more sustainable and be er for the environment, as it leaves the soil unpolluted. Organic cul va on helps protect water resources and maintain a healthy eco-system. We are very conscious about recycling of cardboard boxes, correct disposal of rubbish and avoid using harmful chemicals in our general cleaning and maintenance too. Where possible, we use organic ingredients, derived from other produc ons. Our main ingredient organic whey comes from organic cheese produc on. Working this way, no extra land is used to source this ingredient; instead this land can be used to grow food.

FAIR TRADE Fair trade stands for fair and honest trade. We have chosen to support a project in Ghana, Africa where we buy shea bu er and a project in Central America where we buy aloe vera.

16 FAIR TRADE Fair trade stands for fair and honest trade. We have chosen to support a project in Ghana, Africa where we buy shea bu er and a project in Central America where we buy aloe vera. The projects help the farmers develop and market their crops for export. The projects promote sustainable produc on and fair trade with the aim of furthering economic growth in the countries. In the majority of our products we use minimum 20% cer fied fair trade ingredients. Our shea comes from a group of women in an impoverished area in the north-eastern corner of Ghana, bordered by Burkina Faso to the north and Togo to the east. With few employment opportuni es, a large percentage of the popula on rely on agriculture for their livelihood. The majority of both men and women are subsistence farmers, growing maize, millet, corn, peanuts and rice. The main income for women is derived from collec ng shea nuts fallen from the shea trees which grow naturally in the surrounding area. The members have lots of ideas for the fair-trade premium - renova ng the school buildings, buying computers and se ng up a library to help children study, and building a clinic. More ambi ously, they would love to improve their children s access to secondary school, something which is out of the ques on for most of them.

17 WE ARE UNIQUE BECAUSE We get all our energy from wind mills, which is a very clean and sustainable energy source. We use green surfactants based on easy renewable sources like corn, potatoes, wheat and coconut. We are true organic and of course cer fied by Ecocert, which is the best guarantee for the consumers that they can trust our brand. We have a very high percentage of organic ingredients in our products. In most products we have 4 mes as much as Ecocert requires. Our products are very transparent and on each product we declare the percentage of organic, locally sourced, fair trade, sustainable and energy source. We are conscious about sourcing as locally as possible when it comes to raw materials and packaging as this saves cosme c mileage. We do not accept that our suppliers use irradia on, sulphona on, ethylene oxide, formaldehyde or treatment using mercury because it is harmful for the environment. The quality and func onality of our products is very good and on level with the very best of true organic products found on the world market. Our products, ingredients and packaging are validated, approved and cer fied by Ecocert. We are cer fied by TRE-FOR for using 100% energy from wind mills. We are cer fied by Cruelty Free for not doing animal tes ng. We are winners of the Cosmoprof Green Price.

We need to take it further and look at it from a holis c point of view that incorporates transporta on of ingredients, the produc on process, packaging and energy source.
