PUROLAN purity for beauty Isoparaffins, such as PUROLAN IDD are emollients obtained via sophisticated multi-step synthesis. Unlike paraffins from refined crude oil, the synthesis route leads to high-purity hydrocarbons with precisely defined chain length. These products are derma - tologically safe, colorless and odorless. They are suitable for a wide range of cosmetic applications. PUROLAN Isoparaffins are available in four types, varying in volatility and viscosity. PUROLAN Sericin and PUROLAN Silk Peptide are silk proteins that significantly improve cosmetic formulations, giving a silky, smooth skin feel. Moreover, the ceratinic composition of these silk proteins has a positive effect on the structure of both skin and hair. Our portfolio also includes a range of diols that are truly multifunctional. For example PUROLAN PD can be used as a humectant, a solvent, a spreading agent and as a consistency regulator. Our PUROLAN E 171 titanium dioxide pigments are extremely pure and provide excellent, consistent effects in color cosmetics. Solbrol performance for reliable preservation Our Solbrol range comprises cosmetic preservatives. It includes the proven class of parabens and their respective sodium salts, which offer improved water solubility. The range also includes specially designed blends for paraben free preservation. These are based on organic acids, providing protection against a broad spectrum of microbes. Saltidin let us take care of your ticks Saltidin is a reliable, skin-friendly active for insect repellents. It offers protection against different diseases caused by many arthropods, such as mosquitoes, flies, sand flies and ticks. Saltidin has a very low penetration and allergy potential and shows good compatibility with synthetic materials. PUROLAN BHT is widely known as an effective antioxidant and is suitable for numerous cosmetic applications. It is used in cosmetics for the stabilization of oils and fatty acids in order to prevent them from becoming rancid.

5 Skin Care Isoparaffins like PUROLAN IDD, IHD and IEC significantly improve the skin feel and spreadability of creams and lotions. In particular they can support or even replace silicones in these applications. Skin feel can be further enhanced by the use of PUROLAN Sericin and Silk Peptide to improve skin structure and moisture content. PUROLAN TA has a proven track record as a highly efficient ph stabilizer when formulating with urea. 6 Color Cosmetics PUROLAN E171 A and R are high-purity anatase and rutile titanium dioxide pigments which provide an excellent whitening effect for decorative cosmetics. PUROLAN IDD is a perfect solvent for fast drying formulations like mascara, thanks to its high volatility. The shine and brightness of make-up formulations is improved with PUROLAN PGD, thanks to its high refractive index. 7 Preservatives and Antioxidants Due to their proven safety profile and efficacy, parabens are used in nearly all cosmetic applications. For preservation without parabens they can be replaced with the blends Solbrol LB1 Solbrol LB4. Since these blends are based on organic acids, they are most effective in an acidic environment. PUROLAN BHT helps to prolong the shelf life of cosmetic formulations by protecting unsaturated fats and oils form oxidization.
