4 FASHION DESIGN IS BETTER. The fashion industry is a dynamic and unpredictable field, where classic style comes together with the most forward experimentation. Student of the Year At the end of the school year, a selected jury will nominate a Student of the Year for each class. This student will receive a refund of their entire paid tuition, net of enrolment fees. Raffles Milano awards talent. Course Leader Cristina Ortiz Spanish by birth and Milanese by adoption, after graduating from the prestigious Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture in Paris, Cristina set out on a road that took her from Creative Management of Prada Woman to the pinnacles of international stages like Brioni and Maison Lanvin, until landing at the Ferragamo in Here, in a business not without challenges, she was able to return to the antique splendour of Salvatore Ferragamo s glamour and fascination, transforming it into a contemporary brand with a strong identity. Programma The course programme offers a first year where general overviews of preparatory elements are addressed for the study of Fashion Design, such as forms, materials, production processes, social and cultural factors, which are at the foundation of fashion creation. During the second year, students work on specific topics and research, developing an informed, well-structured and original approach to design, which encourages individual exploration and investigation of new territories and contexts, even those far from the norm. Finally, in the third year, they will work on topic completion, on their final project and on constructing a professional portfolio. Opportunità professionali After completing the three-year course, Students will be ready to enter the fashion world, which has been living a profound transformation in these years, a sign of growing fluency among professional figures. In addition to the classic careers inside the fashion houses (fashion designers, accessories designer, model, production assistant, fashion designer, fashion illustrator), and side by side with great designers or on their own, students will be ready for interdisciplinary roles, linked to research, communication and distribution within the international fashion system such as trend forecaster, art director, journalist, image consultant, fashion blogger, fashion manager, fashion buyer, visual merchandiser. Admission The course is for up to 20 students per class, selected through a motivational interview. Tuition and scholarships Tuition fees vary according to individual income bracket, based on ISEE (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator). From the second year of study, scholarships and discounts are available for worthy students.
