4 KOFOTI Overview KOFOTI Core Projects KOFOTI Exhibitions Textile Industry Overview Korea Federation of Textile Industries, Leader of the Textile Fashion Industry of Korea Since its establishment in 1975, the Korea Federation of Textile Industries (KOFOTI) has served for the economic development of Korea and Korean textile industry, striving continuously to reach such goals as becoming the world s fourth-largest textile exporter and seventh-largest apparel exporter by KOFOTI also is actively operating a wide variety of support projects for enhancing the industry s competitive capabilities and profile in the global market, including research and development, marketing, and fostering smoother, more natural communication among companies. KOFOTI will continue to lead Korea s textile and fashion industry through strong leadership and innovative mind-set. 2 INDUSTRY STANDING The top-tier organization of over 6,100 textile companies (companies with over 10 employees) and 28 industry members FOUNDING GOALS Promote the modernization of the textile industry, enhance the global competitiveness of textile products, and contribute to the overall expansion of the national economy through the long-term development of the textile industry. ORGANIZATION A chairman, two auditors and forty-eight delegates including 28 textile-related organizations and 20 companies comprises the KOFOTI Congress.
