Very good. $150 - $ FRAMED CHINESE SILK BROCADE FRAGMENT, 18th C. Red, blue and gold metallic with elephant, vase and symbols, probably used in the Emperor's birthday celebration. 18 x 20. (Some fading, loose threads and abrasion) good. Together with a metallic brocade panel depicting Lao Tzu. 30 x 24 excellent. $300 - $ CHINESE SILK VELVET PANEL, 18th C. Two joined gold damask panels, decorated with a pattern of urns and flowers having a large central medallion in pinks, greys, lavenders and cranberry. 55 x 76. Worked in nearly identical technique of gold and silver metallic couched threads on midnight blue silk ground having sun worked in coral beads. One 7th rank civil frontispiece with Mandarin duck. Extremely fine embroidery on silk gauze depicting pair of falcons on flowering branch scouting prey. 26 x 22. Both civil 7th rank rear surcoat patches for summer use, one kesu, one embroidered having coral bead sun. Long natural linen of two joined sections decorated in red and green silk with birds, flowers and trees, one section complete with reconciled borders, 29 x 80, one similar added later to lengthen, 29 x 38. One comprosed of two panels lavishly embroidered with pomegranites, joined by a central section with two bands of Tenerife lace, 15 x 35, excellent. Red, yellow and aqua rayon brocade stripe with plaid end border. Together with a machine embroidered ivory silk shawl with pink, blue and green floral and knotted silk fringe. Both square cut heavy cotton with drawstring neck and sleeve: One lavishly embroidered in bright hues with metallic gold and silver bands. One worked in red, yellow, black and white.
