3 Meet Steven H. Dayan, MD, FACS Dr. Steven Dayan is a Facial Plastic Surgeon who is board certified by both the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. He is an international lecturer, a national physician educator and a pioneer in the research and development of plastic surgery devices and techniques. His expertise is recognized worldwide and his techniques for achieving natural results are sought by thousands of patients every year. He has published over 70 articles in medical publications and authored four books. His most recent book, Thrive, has resulted in a national series of training seminars educating physicians on optimizing minimally invasive office based procedures in their practices. He has appeared on over 45 news segments on multiple networks including CNN, NBC, FOX, WGN, ABC and more. Dr. Dayan is a passionate about education and believes that research is the key to future advancements in plastic surgery. He is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Illinois and has trained over 3,500 fellow physicians and he is an adjunct professor at DePaul University teaching an undergraduate course in the Science of Beauty and Attraction and its impact on Culture and Business. Additionally, Dr. Dayan has completed over 35 research studies including multiple studies submitted to the FDA. For his professional achievements, in 2008, Dr. Dayan was awarded the American Medical Associations (AMA) Foundation Leadership Award, the 2009 Public Service Award from the Chicago Medical Society, and in March of 2011 was appointment by the Governor to the State of Illinois Medical Licensing Board. He has also been recognized as a Top Doc by both the Castle Connolly and Consumer Check Book Guides. Robert Morris University recognized him June 2011 as a Distinguished Program Advisory Committee Member. A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Dr. Dayan achieved Phi Beta Kappa honors and attended the University of Illinois Medical School. He completed a residency at the University of Illinois, where he served as chief executive resident in his final year. Following his residency, Dr. Dayan completed a Facial Plastic Surgery Fellowship. He serves on the editorial board of the internationally published Facial Plastic Surgery Journal. In January of 2006, Dr. Dayan founded Enhance Educational Foundation. This not-for-profit organization raises funds and resources for Chicago Public Schools students.
