At the beginning, Clarks made and sold slippers. The Clarks Desert Boot became a mainstay in the last century. In the 1960s Clarks opened for business at the Empire State Building. In the 50 years since, new ranges and designs, innovations and technological advances, together with global expansion, have seen Clarks become one of the most recognizable brand names in the world.
