Safe Kids Gainesville/Hall County was founded in 1992 and is led by Northeast Georgia Medical Center. In addition to the Medical Center, the coalition is made up of numerous community agencies, including the Gainesville City Police Department, Hall County Sheriff s Office, Gainesville City Fire Department, Hall County Fire & EMS, Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Hall County Extension Service, Army Corps of Engineers, Hall County and Gainesville City school systems and many others. They appeared in Paula Deen's magazine as one of Paula's Picks, and they are believed to be the best pound cake you will ever taste. Elizabeth is the owner of D'stressed Designs where she enjoys focusing on hand-painted and distressed furniture as well as custom signs. She received an interior design degree from the University of Georgia in 1993 and has been growing her business for about five years.
