Karen Crouch, owner of Shall We Knit? in Waterloo, says knitters are driven to recreate finished products that catch their eye so she ll be ordering extra bundles skeins of this blue. Shall We Knit? is celebrating its 10th anniversary year. Its first four years were in New Hamburg before moving to the current location on Willow Street in Waterloo. It s a destination shop for specialty yarns, Crouch says. She carries lots of natural wool and plant fibres, such as cotton, silks and alpaca. We really do a lot of hand-dyed yarns, she says, which people use to make socks and lightweight garments. But Anton s creation for Grand is built for winter. Now, it s just a matter of seeing how popular this blue becomes. If you start seeing that colour on scarves around town you ll know you ve had an influence, Crouch says.
