It is comprised of an adjustable inelastic arm sleeve, a built-in foam pad, an elastic hand wrap, 2 measuring cards, 1 arm undersleeve and 1 elastic cover sleeve. Washing instructions To extend the life of your circaid graduate arm, circaid cover up arm and circaid undersleeve hand wash and drip or flat dry. The circaid cover up and circaid undersleeve can also be machine washed using a gentle cycle and dried on a low heat setting. The thumb should extend through the hole, and the end of the sleeve should be at the base of the fingers. Step 1: Slide the circaid graduate arm all the way up to the axilla. The thumb should extend through the side of the foam liner, and the end of the sleeve should be at the base of the fingers. Ensure that: The foam padding sandwiches the hand. The thumb has mobility. The gradient measuring strip is positioned on the inside of the arm. The D-rings are located on the inside of the arm, with the straps pointing away from the body. Fastening the circaid graduate arm Step 2: Smooth the undersleeve beneath the garment so that there are no wrinkles. Step 3: Apply the circaid graduate hand cover, see Donning the circaid graduate hand cover. Step 4: Lift up the strap nearest to the wrist, pull the strap up and away from the arm, and then around the top of the arm and fasten to the sleeve. Using the assured gradient system Step 5: The armsleeve is provided with a measuring system to assist in obtaining the proper

4 gradient compression. Tighten the wrist strap to firm and comfortable compression, then align the assured gradient card on the vertical measuring guides (on the double striped neoprene) at the wrist. Match the X to one vertical guideline, and then use the scale to measure where the other vertical guideline falls. Step 6: Going up the arm, tighten each strap so that the card measures the same value as at the wrist. If a strap is over-tightened, it is best to completely loosen it before resetting to assure an accurate reading. Step 7: When finished, recheck that the card measures the same value at each of the straps. Donning the circaid graduate hand cover Step 1: Right and left hand covers are different; make sure to verify the correct one is being used. Step 2: To apply the hand cover, tighten the first armsleeve strap. Be sure not to tighten the strap too tight at this point. Make sure your hand is positioned with the thumb pointing upwards between the edges of the inner lining. The base of the armsleeve should be at the wrist. Step 3: Position the hand cover on the outside of the sleeve on the lateral part of the arm, so that the straps extend from the back of the hand past the thumb to the palm, pointing in the opposite direction as the arm straps. Step 4: Once the proper position of the hand strap has been determined, reattach it in the same position under the first strap on the armsleeve so it can be left in place for subsequent applications. Step 5: Unroll the hand cover closest to the armsleeve, and wrap the strap around the hand between the thumb and the wrist. Attach to the back of the hand. Step 6: If necessary, realign the inner lining so that it extends along the base of the fingers, then wrap the other hand strap around the palm of the hand. The edge should be at the base of the fingers. Fasten to the back of the hand. Step 7: Readjust the two bands as needed, so that they provide firm and comfortable compression. If the opening for the thumb does not align with the thumb, reposition the hand cover on the armsleeve (step 3 above). Step 8: If the wrap still binds around the base of the thumb, the circular opening for the thumb can be cut larger. To avoid cutting too much, cut no more than 0.3cm at a time. Foam padding can also be used to protect this area if needed: place the padding around the base of the thumb under the hand cover. Shortening the circaid graduate arm fit - for clinican use only! Step 1: Apply the garment to patient s arm and determine amount to be cut at axilla before removing. Step 2: Cut a crescent up to 2 cm deep using bandage scissors, re-apply to arm and review modified length (do not cut into neoprene).

5 Step 3: If armsleeve is still too long, cut the crescent up to 2 cm more and re-apply. Note If experiencing any pain, immediately remove the garment and consult your physician. The garment should never hurt. It should feel firm but comfortable. If pressure increases or decreases noticeably during wear, loosen or tighten the bands accordingly. When bands are placed in parallel they should slightly overlap, leaving no space between bands. Doffing Step 1: Disengage all tab ends of the circaid graduate arm and loosen the straps. Step 2: Refasten the tab ends at their loosest position and roll them back onto themselves. Step 3: Unfasten the hand cover s bands and roll them back onto themselves. Step 4: Slide off the garment. Once complete, it should resemble how it looked before it was donned. Step 5: Slide off the circaid undersleeve arm.

Sie besteht aus einem regulierbaren, unelastischem Ärmel, einem integrierten Schaumstoffpolster, einem elastischen Handwickel, 2 Messkarten, 1 Arm-Unterziehstrumpf und 1 elastischen Überziehärmel. Indikationen Lymphödem stauungsbedingtes Ödem Relative Kontraindikation Auf Grund einer bekannten Gegenanzeige wägt der behandelnde Arzt das Tragen einer circaid Kompressionsversorgung (bei entsprechender Indikation wie z.b. Lymphödem usw.) ab und stellt hierzu das mögliche Risiko zum therapeutischen Nutzen des Medizinproduktes gegenüber. Maßanfertigungen sind Produkte zur sofortigen Verwendung und mit keinem Lagerfähigkeitsdatum versehen. Nutzungsdauer Wegen Materialverschleiß bzw. -erschlaffung ist die medizinische Wirksamkeit für eine definierte Nutzungsdauer gegeben. Dies setzt richtige Handhabung (z.b. bei der Pflege, dem An- und Ausziehen) voraus. circaid graduate arm / circaid graduate hand cover: 12 Monate Entsorgung Bitte über den Rest- bzw. Hausmüll entsorgen. Für diese medizinische Kompressionsversorgung gelten keine besonderen Anforderungen für die Beseitigung. Der Daumen sollte sich in der entsprechenden Öffnung befinden, der Ärmel, auf Höhe der Fingergrundgelenke, beginnen. 1. Schritt: Ziehen Sie den circaid graduate arm bis unter die Achsel. Der Daumen sollte auf der Seite des Schaumstofffutters herausragen und auf Höhe der Fingergrundgelenke beginnen. Bitte beachten: Die Hand muss sich zwischen den Schaumstoffpolstern befinden. Der Daumen muss beweglich sein. Der Gradient-Messstreifen befindet sich innen am Arm. Die D-Ringe befinden sich an der Arminnenseite, die Streifen zeigen vom Körper weg. Befestigung des circaid graduate arm 2. Schritt: Glätten Sie den Unterziehstrumpf, sodass keine Falten entstehen. 3. Befestigen Sie das Handgelenksband mit fester und komfortabler Kompression. Richten Sie anschließend die Messkarte an den vertikalen Messlinien (auf dem doppelt gestreiften Neopren) am Handgelenk aus. Richten Sie das X an einer vertikalen Linie aus und lesen Sie die Messung an der anderen vertikalen Linie ab. 6. Schritt: Befestigen Sie die einzelnen Bänder von unten nach oben, sodass die Karte den gleichen Wert misst wie am Handgelenk. Wenn ein Band zu stramm ist, sollte es zunächst vollständig gelöst werden, um einen exakten Messwert zu erzielen. 7. Schritt: Stellen Sie zum Schluss sicher, dass die Karte bei jedem Band den gleichen Wert anzeigt. Anziehen des circaid graduate hand cover 1. Schritt: Es gibt verschiedene Überzieher für die linke und rechte Hand. Achten Sie darauf, den richtigen zu verwenden. 2. Schritt: Entrollen Sie den Handüberzieher möglichst dicht am Ärmel und wickeln Sie den Streifen zwischen Daumen und Handgelenk um die Hand. Befestigen Sie ihn am Handrücken. 6. Schritt: Richten Sie das Innenfutter gegebenenfalls neu aus, sodass es entlang der Fingergrundgelenke verläuft. Wickeln Sie anschließend den anderen Handstreifen um die Handinnenfläch und befestigen ihn am Handrücken. 7. Schritt: Regulieren Sie die beiden Bänder gegebenenfalls nach, um eine feste und komfortable Kompression zu erreichen. Wenn die Daumenöffnung sich nicht in Daumenhöhe befindet, müssen Sie den Handüberzieher auf dem Ärmel neu ausrichten (3. Schritt). 8. Schritt: Wenn das Band dann noch immer um das Daumengrundgelenk verläuft, kann die runde Daumenöffnung weiter ausgeschnitten werden. Schneiden Sie jeweils nicht mehr als 0,3 cm ab. Zum Schutz dieses Bereiches kann bei Bedarf auch eine Schaumstoffpolsterung verwendet werden. Legen Sie die Polsterung unter dem Handüber-

9 Deutsch German zieher um das Daumengrundgelenk Ausziehen Lösen Sie zum Entfernen des Wickels die beiden Bänder und rollen Sie sie wieder auf. Anlegen des circaid cover up arm 1. Schritt: Achten Sie darauf, dass alle Klettbänder des circaid graduate arm fest auf dem Bekleidungsstück sitzen. 2. Schritt: Entfernen Sie das kleine Schlaufenstück zwischen den Klettbändern am circaid cover up. Legen Sie den circaid cover up flach aus und schlagen Sie die obere Kante um, sodass die beiden Klettbänder sichtbar sind. 3. Schritt: Ziehen Sie den circaid cover up über den Ärmel und befestigen Sie die Klettbänder des Überziehers an der Kompressionsbekleidung, wenn er richtig sitzt. Anpassen des circaid graduate arm - nur durch medizinische Fachkreise! 1. Schritt: Legen Sie die Kompressionsbekleidung am Arm des Patienten an und bestimmen Sie die Länge, die an der Achsel gekürzt werden muss. Ziehen Sie die Kompressionsbekleidung wieder aus. 2. Schritt: Scheiden Sie mit einer Verbandsschere eine bis zu 2 cm tiefe Sichel aus. Legen Sie den Ärmel wieder an und überprüfen Sie die Länge (nicht in das Neopren schneiden). 3. Schritt: Wenn der Ärmel noch immer zu lang ist, schneiden Sie die Sichel weitere 2 cm aus und legen Sie den Ärmel wieder an. Hinweis Wenn Schmerzen auftreten, sollten Sie die Kompressionsbekleidung umgehend entfernen und Ihren Arzt aufsuchen. Die Kompressionsbekleidung sollte auf keinen Fall Schmerzen hervorrufen. Sie sollte fest und komfortabel sitzen. Wenn der Druck beim Tragen merklich zuoder abnimmt, lockern Sie die Bänder bzw. ziehen Sie sie entsprechend an. Wenn die Bänder parallel angelegt werden, sollten sie an den Rändern leicht überlappen, sodass keine Lücken entstehen. Ausziehen 1. Schritt: Lösen Sie die beiden Klettbänder am circaid cover up vom circaid graduate arm, legen Sie die obere Kante um, sodass die Klettbänder sichtbar sind, und ziehen Sie den Überzieher vom Arm ab, bevor Sie die Kompressionsbekleidung ausziehen. 2. Schritt: Lösen Sie alle Klettverschlüsse des circaid graduate arm und die Bänder. 3. Schritt: Die Klettbänder wieder möglichst locker fixieren bzw. einrollen. 4. Изделие circaid cover up и внутренний лайнер circaid undersleeve можно также стирать в машине, используя деликатный режим, и сушить при низкой температуре. Рекомендуется стирать и сушить изделие circaid cover up отдельно или в защитной сетке, чтобы предотвратить попадание ворса на липучки. Наденьте компрессионное изделие на руку пациента, определите, сколько нужно отрезать со стороны подмышечной впадины, а затем снимите его. Шаг 2. Вырежьте полукруг глубиной до 2 см при помощи изогнутых ножниц, повторно наденьте, чтобы проверить измененную длину (неопрен не разрезать). Шаг 3. Если рукав все еще слишком длинный, вырежьте еще один полукруг до 2 см и повторно примерьте. Примечание. В случае возникновения любой боли немедленно снимите изделие и проконсультируйтесь с врачом. Если при использовании изделия давление увеличивается или уменьшается, откорректируйте компрессию по мере необходимости. Когда ленты размещены параллельно, они должны слегка перекрывать друг друга для того, чтобы между ними не оставалось пространства. Снимание Шаг 1. Открепите две застежкилипучки на circaid cover up от circaid graduate arm, заверните верхний край внешнего лайнера так, чтобы были видны застежки-липучки, и снимите внешний лайнер. Шаг 2. Открепите все застежкилипучки от circaid graduate arm и ослабьте ленты. Шаг 3. Снова закрепите застежкилипучки в самом свободном положении. Шаг 4. Открепите ленты изделия и сверните их назад, на себя. Шаг 5. Снимите компрессионное изделие. После того, как оно будет снято, оно должно иметь вид, сходный с тем, каким он был перед надеванием. Шаг 6. Снимите внутренний лайнер circaid undersleeve arm.
