2 OUR STORY Adesse (uh-des-ā); From Latin; a philosophy of belief that any possibility can become reality. Adesse New York was founded in 2014 by beauty industry veteran Suzanne Roberta and business partner / entrepreneur Donald Meyer. Our goal was to combine our uniquely varied experiences to create a beauty brand that solves real problems for today s modern woman; marrying high performance ingredients with advanced science and technology. With over fifteen years of product development and contract manufacturing experience, Suzanne worked alongside beauty industry greats including Estée Lauder, Revlon, Origins and Elizabeth Arden, She discovered a passion for creating products that pushed the boundaries of science, technology, and new innovations. Teaming with Donald, with over twenty four years of project finance, operations and marketing experience, we aimed to re-invent categories within the world of beauty. In January 2014, we began the development of the Age Defying Nail Treatment collection by taking a holistic, skin care approach to healing damaged nails. We realized how many women suffered damaged nails as a result of using gels, acrylics and nail polish made with toxic and harmful ingredients. As we looked across the nail category, we found that most brands only offered a few products to heal cuticles or help grow nails, but none offered a complete, end-to-end solution. Nails, just like skin and hair are made of hard layers of keratin, a fibrous structural protein that if neglected, leads to a loss of vitality and the appearance of premature aging of the nails. The collection includes products that effectively cleanse, prime, nourish and help strengthen the nails. Once restored to a healthy balanced state, we wanted to give women a collection of nail lacquer, that is 100% free from the 12 most harmful ingredients, vegan, cruelty free, long-wearing, chip resistant and formulated with organic and natural pigments and essential oils. Formulas include Gel Effect, Liquid Chrome and Glitter. In March of 2017, we launched a Multi-tasking Lip Collection featuring effective treatments, lipstick formulations that incorporate colors that are both classic and trend driven, waterproof gel liner, gloss and a multi-use lip and cheek stick. Each unique formula is developed with high performing ingredients such as Cupuaçu Butter, Illipi Butter and Mongona Oil.
